This day marks the thirty-second anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre, a crime committed at dawn on February 25, 1994, inside the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron. The extremist settler Baruch Goldstein, an officer in the Israeli army with the rank of captain, opened fire on worshippers prostrating in prayer during the holy month of Ramadan, resulting in the martyrdom of 32 worshippers and wounding dozens more. It was one of the most horrific massacres to have shaken the conscience of humanity. Despite the shock, the worshippers managed to subdue and kill him after severely beating him, in a scene that embodied the will to resist the crime.
The massacre was not a passing event in the record of the conflict, but rather constituted a pivotal point in the course of attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Palestine. It was followed by the imposition of strict division and control measures over the Ibrahimi Mosque, the effects of which are still present today, in consecrating the reality of occupation and settlement.
While the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre served as an early example of a bloody approach based on the disregard for Palestinian blood, what our people are witnessing today—a war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, ethnic cleansing, escalating settlement activity, and daily massacres in the West Bank and Jerusalem—confirms that this approach was not an isolated act, but rather an expression of a deeply rooted racist mentality. The continued crimes against civilians, the targeting of homes and places of worship, the siege, and the starvation are all links in a single chain, unfolding under the support of Western imperialist and colonial powers, a suspicious international silence, and an official Arab impotence to stop the bloodshed of Palestinians.
Recalling this memory is not just about reliving the pain, but also about affirming that the culture of extremism and violence that produced that crime still finds those who fuel and justify it, and that confronting hate speech and racism remains an ongoing moral, political, and humanitarian responsibility.
On the thirty-second anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre, we salute its righteous martyrs, and all the martyrs of our people and nation who rose up in defence of the land, dignity and freedom, affirming that their blood will not be shed in vain, and that the memory of the massacres will remain alive in the conscience of our people until they obtain their rights in full and without compromise.

32 عامًا على مذبحة الحرم الإبراهيمي… باروخ غولدشتاين يولد كل يوم
في مثل هذه الأيام، تمرّ الذكرى الثانية والثلاثون على مجزرة الحرم الإبراهيمي، تلك الجريمة التي ارتُكبت فجر الخامس والعشرين من شباط/فبراير 1994 داخل الحرم الإبراهيمي في مدينة الخليل، حين أقدم المستوطن المتطرف باروخ غولدشتاين، وهو ضابط في جيش الاحتلال برتبة نقيب، على إطلاق النار على المصلّين السجّد خلال شهر رمضان المبارك، ما أدى إلى استشهاد 32 مصلّيًا وإصابة العشرات بجراح متفاوتة، في واحدة من أبشع المجازر التي هزّت الضمير الإنساني. وقد تمكّن المصلّون، رغم هول الصدمة، من السيطرة عليه وقتله بعد أن أوسعوه ضربًا، في مشهد جسّد إرادة الصمود في وجه الجريمة.
لم تكن المجزرة حدثًا عابرًا في سجلّ الصراع، بل شكّلت محطة مفصلية في مسار الاعتداءات على المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية في فلسطين، وأعقبها فرض إجراءات تقسيم وسيطرة مشددة على الحرم الإبراهيمي، ما زالت آثارها قائمة حتى اليوم، في تكريس لواقع الاحتلال والاستيطان.
وإذا كانت مجزرة الحرم الإبراهيمي قد شكّلت نموذجًا مبكرًا لنهج دموي قائم على استباحة الدم الفلسطيني، فإن ما يشهده شعبنا اليوم من حرب إبادة في قطاع غزة، ومن تطهير عرقي واستيطان متصاعد ومجازر يومية في الضفة الغربية والقدس، يؤكد أن ذلك النهج لم يكن فعلًا فرديًا معزولًا، بل تعبيرًا عن عقلية عنصرية متجذّرة. إن استمرار الجرائم بحق المدنيين، واستهداف البيوت ودور العبادة، والحصار والتجويع، كلها حلقات في سلسلة واحدة، تجري في ظل دعم قوى إمبريالية واستعمارية غربية، وصمت دولي مريب، وعجز رسمي عربي عن وقف شلال الدم الفلسطيني.
إن استحضار هذه الذكرى لا يقتصر على استعادة الألم، بل هو تأكيد أن ثقافة التطرف والعنف التي أفرزت تلك الجريمة ما زالت تجد من يغذيها ويبررها، وأن مواجهة خطاب الكراهية والعنصرية تظل مسؤولية أخلاقية وسياسية وإنسانية مستمرة.
في الذكرى الثانية والثلاثين لمذبحة الحرم الإبراهيمي، نتوجه بالتحية إلى شهدائها الأبرار، وإلى كل شهداء شعبنا وأمتنا الذين ارتقوا دفاعًا عن الأرض والكرامة والحرية، مؤكدين أن دماءهم لن تذهب هدرًا، وأن ذاكرة المجازر ستبقى حيّة في وجدان شعبنا حتى ينال حقوقه كاملة غير منقوصة.
