DPRK Delegation in Russia - 2026

Russia: DPRK Delegation Visits Vladivostok! (24.1.2026)

Translator’s Note: I found this article on an Italian “Korean Friendship Association” (KFA) page hosted on Telegram. Of course, the UK possesses these groups – and I have had cordial associations in the past – but my Chinese friends put me in direct contact with the North Korean Media (and individuals) and I do not require any intermediary as such. However, these friendship groups serve a vital connecting function between North Koreans and ordinary people in the outside world – as the West is trying to isolate and alienate the DPRK. A guided tour was organized for a delegation from the Ministry of Culture of the DPRK visiting the Russian Federation, during which the history of the station in the capital of the Primorsky Territory, an architectural monument and historical heritage, was presented.

Photos were taken near the symbolic monument and the symbol of the end of the Trans-Siberian Railway, the 9288 km stele, and on the sidewalk, where two commemorative plaques were installed on the facades of the railway station in honour of the visits to Vladivostok by the supreme leaders of Socialist Korea.

It should be noted that in June 2025, regular passenger rail transport between Russia and the DPRK was restored.

Currently, a train runs daily on the Tumanggang-Hasan-Tumanggang route, and twice a month, sleeper carriages depart without a stop on the Pyongyang-Moscow-Pyongyang and Pyongyang-Khabarovsk-Pyongyang routes, which are part of Train No. 1 Russia.
