Author’s Note: There is no material evidence that supports the hypothesis that the person known as “Jesus Christ” physically existed, died due to crucifixion, rose from the dead, and ascended heaven. To be clear, historical records (and archaeological finds) exist confirming that virtually all well-known historical personages – who were not accredited as being the “Son of Man” (re-read by Christians as “Son of God” – a phrase which does not exist in any version of the New Testament). This exemption typifies the dishonesty which defines Biblical history. No material evidence – equals evidence that is hidden. Assumption that evidence “exists” before it is confirmed to “exist” – is the exercise of “faith” and no “reason”. A shocking fact for religionists states that there is more archaeological evidence supporting the existence of King Arthur – than Jesus Christ. A shadow of a man superimposed upon the Turin Shroud is haphazardly used by religionists to “prove” that Jesus Christ existed – despite this image being clearly Western or Northern European – rather than typically Hebrew or Arab (Semitic) as Jesus Christ is most likely assumed to have been. What the Catholic Church is stating is academically “false” – but I suspect these power-mongers do not care. ACW (22.8.2024)
Most religionists miss the point of the religion they profess. In the modern day religion has become something akin to an exclusive Golf Club or Fitness Centre – asMembership confers status. There is the contradiction as association has replaced attainment. I have no problem with hermits or monastics who quietly look within whilst detached from the world – but what does both me is the pure evil intent that many religionists exude as if it were genuine purity. Again, much of religion is infested with far-right political ideology that is quite repugnant and surely nothing to do with the pristine awareness of those holy people who originally founded the traditions. As level-headed thinkers we must hold the line, so to speak, against the ignorance of the reactionaries. Science must be protected so that the rights of genuine religionists are not stolen by the hateful and the malicious.
A Catholic friend of mine once said that if the Turin Shroud was real – it would be locked-up securely in the deepest vault the Vatican possessed – rather than being displayed on a wall of an old Church situated down an Italian back-street! I suspect he is right as the Roman Catholic Church never gives-up the chance of acquiring as much worldly wealth as possible whilst lending its support to fascist regimes around the world. If a burial cloth really did exist that was used to bury the physical body of Jesus Christ around 33 CE – then there would be a tangible piece of evidence that the man now known as “Jesus Christ” did really exist in the physical world and was not a fabrication of Greek travellers who thought they might like to be a part of the “Chosen Ones”. Yes – Jesus Christ was illiterate, and his direct disciples were shepherds and fishermen – they were also people of Jewish religious and cultural origin. Why is there no early text relating to Jesus Christ in the Hebrew language – the language of his ethnicity?
A few days ago, whilst monitoring the activity of the British (and broader) far-right movement – I was made aware of an article being shared online by the Catholic Church stating that “new” research has completely reversed the scientific concesus to date – suggesting that a) Jesus Christ existed, b) he was crucified, c) his body was wrapped in a burial shroud, and d) an imprint of his body was superimposed onto the surface of this shroud by supernatural means. One error the creator of this artefact seems to have made is that the body being depicted is still “alive” – as it is obvious that the blood is still “flowing” – meaning the heart is pumping, etc. Of course, just why this Nordic-looking man was living in Palestine during the 1st century CE is something of a mystery – but by the 14th century (when this cloth first appeared in France) – the Catholic West had inflicted a number of terrible Crusades on the Middle East and the idea of Jesus Christ physically representing the Crusaders themselves had become firmly established.
Science, unlike religious dogma, is continuously evolving. However, perhaps the most convincing evidence emanates from the existing (internal) documentation preserved within the Roman Catholic Archives. It is clear that the Turin Shroud, according to Catholic Church records, clearly denotes the construction of a useful fabrication. Even the then Pope is recorded as acknowledging the artefact is a fraud. The application of the scientific method has merely confirmed this fact over and over again. Given that this is the case, why would the Catholic Church support an obviously “fake” scientific statement? Is it because the Neo-Nazi Ukraine regime it supports – which is currently on the brink of defeat in Donbass – is soon to be held accountable for its crimes? Is this sometype of diversion plan designed to take the attention of the general public off the ball for the moment?
I remember a documentary some time ago broadcast on the Discovery and History Channels – which perpetuated the false narrative that the carbon-dating confirming the 14th century origin of the Turin Shroud was premised on academics making the mistake of only testing the “repaired” areas of the cloth (supposedly confirmed by the a group of scientifically trained monks)! The problem is that this Church-derived narrative is entirely false. Various parts of the cloth have been tested by various academic establishments around the world and the consensus is a cloth dating from the 14th century. The anti-intellectualism and bias being broadcast by the Catholic Church and the secular media that supports it – has constructed yet another fairy-tale which will keep the Paranormal industry functioning for at least another decade! Eventually, what I am saying above will slowly become mainstream once enough people point-out the inconsistencies!
