Media Office of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon

In order to strengthen the fraternal relations between the Fatah Movement and the Popular Front, and to confirm bilateral relations and joint work, the Official in charge of Political Relations in the Fatah Movement in Lebanon – Dr. Sarhan Sirhan – Heading a Delegation – visited the Office of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, situated in the Marlias Camp in the Lebanese capital – Beirut – on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024. The Fatah Delegation was received by the Front’s Political Relations Official in Lebanon -Abdullah Al-Dannan – and other members of the Front.
During the meeting, the bilateral relationship, ways of cooperation and coordination, and strengthening the joint framework of action between all Palestinian National Action Factions and the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization were reviewed, confirming that the Organization is the unifying framework for all factions, strengthening its role, and activating its political frameworks and Trade Union Federations.
The two sides praised the struggle and sacrifices of the Palestinian people and their Resistance in Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem, and stressed the role of UNRWA and its preservation as it is the true witness to the tragedy of our Palestinian people. They called on donor countries not to submit to Zionist dictates and stop funding UNRWA, and they appealed to supporting countries to increase their funding for UNRWA.
The two sides also affirmed their support for the Palestinian people’s Rejection of all suspicious projects aimed at liquidating the Palestinian Cause, displacing our people from Gaza and the West Bank, rejecting settlement and displacement, granting Civil and Human Rights to the Palestinians in Lebanon, preserving the security and safety of the Camps, and protecting the Palestinian people in Lebanon.
They also discussed further issues of common interest.

تعزيزًا للعلاقات الأخوية التي تربط حركة فتح والجبهة الشعبية، وتأكيدًا للعلاقات الثنائية والعمل المشترك، زار مسؤول العلاقات السياسية في حركة فتح في لبنان، الدكتور سرحان سرحان على رأس وفد من العلاقات السياسية للحركة في لبنان، مكتب الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين، في مخيم مارلياس في العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت، يوم يوم الثلاثاء في ٦ شباط ٢٠٢٤، وكان في استقبالهم مسؤول العلاقات السياسية للجبهة في لبنان عبد الله الدنان، وأعضاء العلاقات السياسية للجبهة في لبنان.
خلال اللقاء، جرى استعراض العلاقة الثنائية، وسبل التعاون والتنسيق، وتعزيز إطار العمل المشترك بين فصائل العمل الوطني الفلسطيني كافة، وإطار منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، وتأكيد أن المنظمة هي الإطار الجامع للفصائل كافة، وتعزيز دورها، وتفعيل أطرها السياسية والاتحادات النقابية .
وأشاد الجانبان بنضال وتضحيات أبناء شعبنا الفلسطيني، ومقاومته في غزة والضفة والقدس، وأكدا دور الأونروا والحفاظ عليها كونها الشاهد الحقيقي على مأساة شعبنا الفلسطيني، وطالبا الدول المانحة بعدم الخضوع للإملاءات الصهيونية ووقف تمويل الأونروا، وناشدا الدول الداعمة بزيادة تمويلها للأونروا
كما أكد الجانبان رفضهم وشعبنا الفلسطيني لكل المشاريع المشبوهة التي تهدف إلى تصفية القضية الفلسطينية، وتهجير أبناء شعبنا من غزة والضفة، ورفض التوطين والتهجير، وإعطاء الحقوق المدنية والإنسانية للفلسطينيين في لبنان، والحفاظ على أمن وأمان المخيمات وحماية شعبنا في لبنان .
