Norway: Remembering “Johanne Zhangjia Ihle-Hansen” – the Forgotten Chinese Victim of a White Racist! (30.11.2023)

According to the latest media reports, just last month (August – 2019) – the case of a Norwegian White Supremacist (terrorist) shooting his adopted Chinese sister (and an attendee at a mosque) – attracted people’s attention. After the incident, there was an extensive Police investigation. The Police have now confirmed the man’s motive for committing this crime. This innocent girl was shot dead because her “Chinese” ethnicity (and bloodline) aroused the disgust of her “brother”.

The murderer’s method of committing the crime was cruel and direct – he shot his victim in the head three times. The man has been charged by the Police.

According to media reports, the deceased was born in China, named “Johanne Zhangjia Ihle-Hansen”, and was just 17-years old.

In addition to murder, the suspect – Philip Manshaus – was also charged with terrorism. He appeared in Court in Oslo on September 9th (2019). According to analysis, if convicted of murder or violating anti-terrorism laws, the suspect will face up to 21 years in prison.

(Note: Oslo is located in southeastern Norway. It is one of the richest, safest cities with the highest living standards in Europe, and one of the happiest cities in the world.)

Philip Manshaus – The shooter – Had Promoted Far-Right and Anti-Immigration Ideas on Social Media!

According to reports, Philip Manshaus, a 21-year-old white Norwegian man, was suspected of breaking into a mosque near Oslo on August 10 and opened fire, injuring one person inside the temple. The police later found the body of his 17-year-old sister in his residence. The deceased was born in China and was adopted by the suspect’s stepmother when she was 2 years old.

Preliminary Police investigations show that the gunman involved committed the crime in a “lone wolf” style. Oslo Police spokesman Rune Sold told a press conference that the gunman had promoted far-right and anti-immigration ideas on social media.

Norwegian Police are currently investigating the mosque shooting as a terrorist attack. One noteworthy detail is: Norwegian Police accused the suspect in the above-mentioned shooting of killing his 17-year-old sister before going to the mosque. Therefore, the media reported that the suspect Philip was not only charged with shooting and injuring others, but also charged as a murderer.

According to the video of the Court appearance, the young suspect was dressed in black, had short hair, and showed a strange smile many times during the Court appearance. In addition, he had an arrogant attitude and rarely spoke. His lawyer said he denied all accusations.

It is reported that on the day of the arrest, the suspect was subdued by a 65-year-old former Pakistani Military Officer and several others, and there were some physical violence between the two parties. The suspect later appeared on the news with a bruised nose, swollen face and two black eyes, which confirmed what happened to him at that time.

Court evidence demonstrated that the girl was shot three times in the head and once in the chest that day. The weapon used by the murderer was a 22-caliber rifle, which was later found by the Police in the suspect’s car.

A Police Officer (named Pal-Fredrik Hjort Kraby) told a local TV station that the suspect’s lawsuit (and on-site evidence) showed that the murderer brutally killed his Chinese sister due to racial discrimination.

The Norwegian Police said at a Press Conference that Philip Manshaus, a white Norwegian young man who also carried out a shooting at a mosque near Oslo, was likely to be a supporter of extreme xenophobia. This is completely consistent with the suspect’s motive for the murder revealed by the Police today.

According to media reports, the 17-year-old victim, the suspect’s sister Johanne, was adopted by the suspect’s stepmother and should have had a positive life experience with the shooting suspect.

Although not related by blood, the victimized Chinese girl is the suspect’s legal sister and family member.

She has lived in Norway for 15 years since her adoption. After the tragedy, local residents in Norway placed flowers and candles outside the residence of the murdered Chinese girl – to express their condolences.
