“Cast Lead” 2008, “Pillar of Défense” 2012, “Protective Edge” 2014, “Guardian of the Walls” 2021, “True Dawn” 2022, and other harsh names given by the Occupation to its operations raged against the Gaza Strip – were finally humiliated by the former Israeli Chief of Staff – Dan Halutz – when he stated in 2023 – “wake up!”.
Halutz addressed the leaders of “Israel”, astonished by the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, saying: “Everyone who has hope for a victory similar to the Six-Day War, I suggest that they wake up. We are facing the result of a long path of deterioration, and selective blindness practiced by the military establishment. This is the first time Israel has conscripted soldiers. “After all its precautions,” he concluded by saying, “I hope that the war will not take a long time.”
Halutz does not analyse, does not feel, does not react, and does not exaggerate, because he was the Chief of Staff who led the “Israeli” Army to defeat in the July 2006 war with Lebanon, and he is the same individual who wrote in his Resignation in 2007 that “lessons must be learned from the war,” and today he acknowledges expressing disappointment by saying: “It seems that the lessons of the July War were not implemented,” – he is a person who speaks from information and truth gained through experience.
Seventeen-years have passed since a Regular Army numbered no less than a million, between conscripts and reserves, and possessed the most powerful air and surface-to-air defence weapons, the finest armour, the most insidious intelligence apparatus, and the most modern weapons and means of communication. Behind it were the “greatest” countries and all the world’s technology at its disposal, all of that, and it did not learn from its mistakes! A war over only 79 kilometres with a small armed group whose greatest military weapon at the time was the Kornet anti-tank missile, accompanied by a set of tactics, deceptions, and camouflage methods.
Between Lebanon and Gaza, the scene is the same – as the Israeli dream was (and still remains) the same. In Lebanon during 2006, the goal was to crush Hezbollah, and in Operation “Cast Lead” 2008, the goal was to eliminate the Hamas Movement. The former was not crushed, and the latter was not eliminated – nor did “Israel” learn anything. Nor did its Army correct its mistakes. On the contrary, Hamas and Hezbollah were the ones who learned, who corrected, and who filled its gaps and developed its capabilities. In 2008, Hamas was in the position of responding under the title “The Criterion,” and today in 2023 it is in the position of attack under the title “Flood.”
In 2006, Hezbollah was on the defensive, proudly displaying its deterrent surprises, and today, in 2023, it is on the offensive, planning to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque and pray there. As for the surprise Kornet and the like, today such simplistic weapons have turned into a “pre-meal appetizer,” according to what a close source describes. From the Open Front against the Israeli positions on the Southern Border with Occupied Palestine – but the only irony is that Gaza is superior to Lebanon in terms of difficult and sensitive geographical conditions.
Thus, Halutz’s description of the situation as an “accumulated deterioration” is an accurate description. The one that comes closest to being understood and revealed by the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, when he described the Occupation entity as weaker than a spider’s web – in his famous speech from the city of Bint Jbeil after the liberation of the South in 2000 – that is, 23-years ago.
Since the Occupation was defeated in Lebanon, the Resistance has made it clear to the whole world that “Israel” will fall and come to an end if it continues to face concentrated Resistance against it. Indeed, for more than 40-years, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance has turned a deaf ear to everything that has nothing to do with Palestine and has cast its eyes. It excluded the people, and focused on a clear, specific, and precise goal: eliminating “Israel” from existence.
For this goal, Hezbollah devoted a large part of its military, political, security, social, economic, and financial energies. The liberation of Southern Lebanon from the Occupation was the historic July Victory, and the spread of Resistance – little by little – in the region was achieved, as a result of the “deterrence factor” created by this approach.
A battle in which the Palestinian Resistance was most convinced, as it was the centre of the issue, upon which the Occupied built its foundation with all its senses directed to breaking the bones of the Occupier! This policy benefiting from the experiences of the Resistance in Lebanon, and developed its expertise, so the Palestinian factions believed that this Occupier had no solid foundation, as the Zionists were fighting to maintain a situation of confrontation. Whoever fights is to be martyred, and this is not a verse of poetry to be said, but rather it is an essential factor in the complete defeat of the Occupier.
The Occupier fights with an artificial, shallow, contrived, technological and robotic spirit – not a moral one. He, with his giant Regular “Army”, will drown in a gang-related labyrinth constructed by its own audacious tactics. And by relying on his technological and logistical superiority, he will become blind and deaf when his cameras are snatched, and his communications are cut off – just as the Resistance did when it launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. This movement, which has been unable to detect the military and security corridors to and from Gaza for many years, provides the Resistance with the equipment and supplies it needs to create its surprises.
By underestimating its enemy, the Occupation will regret it, just as it frankly regretted it in this battle, declaring that it made a mistake when it underestimated prior warnings and reports. Thus, the path of this Occupation throughout its history has been led from one defeat to another. I am not here to enumerate Tel Aviv’s failures. The reader will be able to see for himself dozens of confessions spread in media reports, of military leaders reviewing the weaknesses and frailty of the “Israeli” Army, with numbers, field data and testimonies, whether it was facing the Resistance of Lebanon or the Resistance of Palestine.
To understand that this farce of an “Army” – that was once said to be invincible – is not the efficient machine the Occupier makes it out to be, it is sufficient to observe the successes of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. This formed a picture above and below the Settlements, in which an Israeli force numbering 4,200 soldiers was eliminated, and “Israel” lost them in less than a week, with Hamas suffering only one person killed. The Resistance breached fortifications and defenses worth hundreds of millions and even billions of dollars, and seized dozens of Israeli vehicles, tanks, and military equipment.
Meanwhile, after two weeks, “Greater Israel” is still searching for a victory or achievement between the outskirts of Gaza, Khan Yunis, and Rafah. “Israel”, whose founder David Ben-Gurion was planning to distribute its Army over the hills of the entire region as if it belonged to him, is today considering its great losses as if it only Occupied a rock in the besieged sector. This is an “Israel” that is not even able to make a decision to enter an area less than 1% of the space planned to build “Greater Israel” from the Nile to the Euphrates, and it is the same “Israel” that has been unable for 17-years to enter more than one kilometre in Southern Lebanon!
Sorry for talking at length about the July War, but the Occupation’s threats from that time until today, and its intimidation of turning Lebanon into rubble and returning it to the Stone Age. It is necessary to approach Gaza and “Israel’s” goal to destroy it, as it is Lebanon and “Israel’s” dreams there, so that it becomes clear to the world today that from the Nile to the Euphrates there will be Resistance – but “Israel” will have two options that have no third: either to disappear where it is, or to flee to its masters – to complete its imaginary songs like Iron Swords and other poems – which the Zionists can take with them.

“إسرائيل” أمام خيارين: الزوال أو الهرب

“الرصاص المصبوب” 2008، “عمود السحاب” 2012، “الجرف الصامد” 2014، “حارس الأسوار” 2021، “الفجر الصادق” 2022، وغيرها من التسميات الغليظة التي أطلقها الاحتلال على عملياته ضد قطاع غزة، ذلّت مفاعليها أخيراً على لسان رئيس الأركان الإسرائيلي السابق دان حالوتس، بقوله عام 2023، استيقظوا.
خاطب حالوتس قادة “إسرائيل” مذهولاً بعملية طوفان الأقصى قائلاً: “إن كلّ من لديه أمل بانتصار على شاكلة حرب الأيام الستة اقترح عليه أن يستيقظ، نحن أمام نتيجة مسار طويل من التدهور، وكذلك بسبب عمى مؤقت للمؤسسة العسكرية، فهذه أول مرة تجنّد فيها إسرائيل كل احتياطها”، وختم قائلاً “أتمنّى ألّا تستغرق الحرب وقتاً طويلاً”.
حالوتس لا يحلّل، لا يشعر، لا ينفعل، لا يبالغ، لأنّه رئيس الأركان الذي قاد جيش “إسرائيل” إلى هزيمة حرب تموز 2006 مع لبنان، وهو نفسه الذي كتب في استقالته عام 2007 أنه “يجب أخذ العِبر من الحرب”، واليوم هو يقرّ بالخيبة بالقول: “يبدو أنّ عِبر حرب تموز لم تطبّق”، إنّه شخصٌ ينطق بالمعلومة والحقيقة.
17 عاماً مضت على جيشٍ نظاميٍ لا يقلّ عديده عن مليونٍ بين مجنّد واحتياط، ويملك أقوى أسلحة الجو والدفاع الجوي وأفخر المدرعات وأخبث جهاز مخابرات، وأحدث الأسلحة ووسائل الاتصال، وخلفه “أعظم” الدول وكل تكنولوجيا العالم تحت تصرّفه، كلّ ذلك، ولم يتعلّم من عِبر حربٍ على امتداد 79 كيلومتراً فقط مع مجموعة صغيرة مسلّحة كانت أعظم ممتلكاتها العسكرية يومها هو صاروخ الكورنيت المضاد للدروع، مترافقاً مع مجموعة تكتيكات وخدع وأساليب تمويه.
بين لبنان وغزّة، المشهد واحد عندما كان وما زال الحُلم الإسرائيلي واحداً، ففي لبنان 2006 كان الهدف سحق حزب الله، وفي عملية “الرصاص المصبوب” 2008 كان الهدف القضاء على حركة حماس، فلا سُحق هذا ولا قُضي على ذاك، ولا “إسرائيل” تعلّمت ولا جيشها صحّح أخطاءه، بل على العكس تماماً، حماس وحزب الله هما من تعلّم ومن صحّح ومن سدّ ثغراته وطوّر إمكاناته، فكانت حماس 2008 في موقع الردّ تحت عنوان “الفرقان”، وهي اليوم في 2023 في موقع الهجوم تحت عنوان “طوفان”.
وكان حزب الله عام 2006 في موقع الدفاع يُظهر بكل فخرٍ مفاجآته الرادعة، وهو اليوم في 2023 في موقع الهجوم يُخطّط للوصول إلى المسجد الأقصى والصلاة فيه، أمّا الكورنيت المفاجأة وما شاكله، فتحوّل اليوم إلى “مُقبّلات ما قبل الوجبة”، بحسب ما يصفها مصدر مقرّب من الجبهة المفتوحة ضد المواقع الإسرائيلية على الحدود الجنوبية مع فلسطين المحتلة، لكن المفارقة الوحيدة، هي أن غزّة تتفوّق على لبنان بالظروف الجغرافية الصعبة والحساسة.
وبالتالي وصْف حالوتس الوضع بأنه تدهور متراكم، هو وصْف دقيق، كان الأقرب إلى فهمه والكشف عنه الأمين العام لحزب الله السيد حسن نصر الله عندما وصف كيان الاحتلال بأنه أوهن من بيت العنكبوت، في خطابه الشهير من مدينة بنت جبيل عقب تحرير الجنوب عام 2000، أي قبل 23 عاماً.
فمنذ دحر الاحتلال عن لبنان، أوضحت المقاومة للعالم أجمع أن “إسرائيل” هذه تهوي إلى نهاية إذا استمرّت في مواجهة مقاومة مركَّزة ضدها، وبالفعل، منذ أكثر من 40 عاماً، صمّت المقاومة الإسلامية اللبنانية آذانها العسكرية عن كل ما ليس له علاقة بفلسطين، رمت ببصرها أقصى القوم، وركّزت على هدف واضح ومحدّد ودقيق، إزالة “إسرائيل” من الوجود.
ولأجل هذا الهدف كرّس حزب الله جزءاً كبيراً من طاقاته العسكرية والسياسية والأمنية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والمالية لهذه المعركة، فكان تحرير الجنوب اللبناني من الاحتلال وكان انتصار تموز التاريخي، وكان انتشار المقاومة شيئاً فشيئاً في المنطقة يتحقّق، كنتيجة لعامل الردع الذي صنعه هذا التوجّه.
معركة كانت المقاومة الفلسطينية الأكثر اقتناعاً بها كونها مركز القضية، وبنت الأرض المحتلّة، وبكل حواسها لمست إرادتها في كسر عظم المحتلّ، مستفيدة من تجارب المقاومة في لبنان، وطوّرت خبراتها، فآمنت الفصائل الفلسطينية بأنّ هذا المحتلّ لا أساس متين له، فهو يقاتل ليعيش في مواجهة من يقاتل ليُستشهد، وليس هذا بيت شعرٍ يُقال، بل إنه عامل أساسي في هزائم هذا المحتل.
فالمحتل يقاتل بروحٍ إلكترونية لا معنوية، هو بـ “جيشه” النظامي العملاق سيغرق في متاهة جرأة العصابات وتكتيكاتها، وهو باعتماده على تفوّقه التكنولوجي واللوجستي، سيُصاب بالعمى والصمم عندما تُقنص كاميراته وتنقطع اتصالاته، تماماً كما فعلت المقاومة عندما أطلقت عملية طوفان الأقصى، وأيّ عيون إلكترونية هذه العاجزة عن كشف الممرّات العسكرية والأمنية من وإلى غزّة منذ سنين طويلة، تمدّ المقاومة بما تحتاجه من أعتدة ومستلزمات لصناعة مفاجآتها.
وإنّ الاحتلال باستخفافه بعدوّه، سيندم، تماماً كما ندم في هذه المعركة بصراحة، معلناً أنه أخطأ عندما استهان بالتنبيهات المسبقة والتقارير التحذيرية، وهكذا كانت مسيرة هذا الاحتلال على مرّ التاريخ تنقاد إلى هزيمة تلوَ الهزيمة، ولست هنا بوارد تعداد إخفاقات “تل أبيب”، سأدعو القارئ إلى الاطلاع بنفسه على عشرات الاعترافات المنتشرة ضمن تقارير إعلامية، لقادة عسكريين يستعرضون مكامن الضعف والهزالة لدى جيش “إسرائيل”، بالأرقام والمعطيات الميدانية والشهادات، إن كان بمواجهة مقاومة لبنان أو مقاومة فلسطين.
حتّى أنّ الأرقام والمعلومات غير مطلوبة بعد لإثبات مهزلة “جيش” قيل يوماً إنه لا يُقهر، تكفي عملية طوفان الأقصى التي شكّلت لوحةً فوق المستوطنات وتحتها، تمّ فيها القضاء على قوّة إسرائيلية عديدها 4200 جندي، خسرتهم “إسرائيل” في أقلّ من أسبوع، بين قتيل وجريح وأسير وفارّ، وخرقت المقاومة تحصيناتٍ ودفاعاتٍ بمئات ملايين الدولارات بل ومليارات، واغتنمت عشرات الآليات والدبابات والتجهيزات العسكرية الإسرائيلية.
بينما وبعد مرور أسبوعين، ما زالت “إسرائيل العظمى” تبحث عن نصر أو إنجاز بين زواريب غزة وخان يونس ورفح. “إسرائيل” التي كان يخطّط مؤسسها دايفيد بن غوريون لتوزيع جيشها على تلال المنطقة برمّتها وكأنها ملك له، تدرس اليوم خسائرها الكبيرة لو احتلّت صخرةً في القطاع المحاصر. هذه هي “إسرائيل” غير القادرة حتّى على اتخاذ قرار بدخول مساحة أقل من 1% من المساحة المقرّرة لبناء “إسرائيل الكبرى” من النيل إلى الفرات، وهي نفسها “إسرائيل” التي عجزت منذ 17 عاماً عن دخول أكثر من كيلومتر واحد في جنوب لبنان.
وعذراً على الإسهاب في الكلام عن حرب تموز، ولكن تهديدات الاحتلال منذ ذلك الوقت وحتّى اليوم وتهويله بتحويل لبنان إلى ركام وإرجاعه إلى العصر الحجري، يجعل من الضروري مقاربة غزّة وأهداف “إسرائيل” ضدها، بلبنان وأحلام “إسرائيل” فيه، ليتجلّى للعالم اليوم، أنه وعلى ما يبدو، من النيل إلى الفرات سيكون للمقاومة، أمّا “إسرائيل” فستكون أمام خيارين لا ثالث لهما، إمّا الزوال في مكانها، وإمّا الهرب إلى ربّاتها، لتكمل عندهم أغانيها الخيالية من قبيل السيوف الحديدية وغيرها من القصائد.
