Shackles Made in Sheffield!

UK: British Crown Symbol was Branded on Enslaved Africans! (15.9.2026)

The Captains were paid for the slaves, purchased sugar with some of this money, and then set-sail for England. The slaves, of course, particularly in the West Indies, were forced to work on the sugar plantations, but were further exported into the American hinterland – where they would farm cotton. The Americas consisted of vast open spaces but there were not enough White workers to exploit this space. Slavery was the answer – with thousands of slaves controlled by a handful of Whites. Until 1648 – the slaves branded with a “Crown” meant that they were the personal property of the (absolute) British Monarchy. After the 1648-49 Execution of Charles I (and the overthrow of the aristocracy by the bourgeoisie) – the absolute monarchy was abolished and the “Crown” symbol was re-directed to refer to the bourgeoisie (which now controlled the means of production) and the elected government that was voted-in by the masses to represent its interests. Of course, the “Crown” simply designated those slaves acquired and sold by the British – as opposed to those slaves acquired by other European nations. It was a marker of dominance – rather than direct ownership – as each slave was owned by whoever had provided money to purchase the rights of ownership (like a car or a house).

PRC-Serbia Police - Hainan - 2026

China: PRC-Serbia Launch Joint Police Patrols in Hainan! (15.9.2026)

The UK government requested that China send their anti-terrorist police to the UK – who were cleared to operate against Chinese nationals in this block of flats (probably as a sign of co-operation between the two countries leading to the handover of Hong Kong in 1997). A large Chinese cargo plane landed in the UK and a hundred or so heavily-armed riot police were bussed into theatre. Needless to say, these PRC police when through the block of flats like a dose of salts. In a short-time these criminals were beaten into submission and frog-marched into waiting vans – before heading to the airport. This story was broadcast on TV at the time – but all I can find online today is anti-China racism, hysteria, and bizarre conspiracy theories perpetuated by a racist British State. For a Chinese person to be considered “safe” they must have no contact, sympathy, or admiration for a “Socialist” China. To do what other White (foreigners) routinely do in relation to their ancestral home countries risks arrest, imprisonment, and/or expulsion. The lunacy of some of these ridiculous stories includes the weird idea that China has “secret” police stations in the UK! Today, the UK follows a US-demanded policy of giving asylum to Chinese criminals – something of an about-turn in policy!

Cheam Village Used To Be A Sleepy Village!

UK: WHEN EAST CHEAM WAS NOT A PLACE OF FICTION! (14.9.2026)

Each house possessed an ample front and back garden, with a covered garage to park the family conveyance – usually on the property or nearby. As there was ample space – these houses were large and roomy. Sutton was only forced to build rental properties for workers post-1945 – although people like Thomas Wall, did use his own money to build workers’ cottages for his employees – but these were few and far between. Today, such cottages are worth millions on the free market and are highly sought after (ironically). The British comedian – Tony Hancock (1924-1968) – was famous for a fictional character he created whose back-story had him living in “East Cheam” – but East Cheam has not be used for probably hundreds of years – despite the odd campaign here and there. In 2022, Sutton Council renamed the “Electoral Ward” where we live into “West Sutton and East Cheam” – thus bringing the designation back to life. Tony Hancock must have really researched this area very well to come-up with this obscure name – making it famous

Soviet Pilots with Their UK-Provided Spitfires!

UK: Debunking an Anti-Soviet Episode of the 1970s BBC Drama “Secret Army”! (13.9.2026)

The “Line” is comprised of petty bourgeois hotel, restaurant, and cafe owners, etc, and these people refuse to relate to unionised workers. The series conforms to Cold War sentiment as the Belgians are depicted as confronting the Nazi Germans and subtly resisting their allies – the Communists. And yet in reality, it was the Communists who carried-out most of the fighting, took most of the risks, and suffered the highest casualty rates. The Communist Party of France was funded and directed, in-part, from the USSR and the UK. I would say the series treads an ideological tightrope very successfully. The height of the rather silly anti-Soviet script writing appears in Series 2, Episode 2, entitled “Russian Roulette”. This story supposedly depicts two airmen (from the Soviet Red Airforce) shot-down over Eastern Germany during 1943.

How the disability were treated in the old days,

UK: Epsom’s Horton Chapel! (13.9.2026)

Furthermore, I cannot find any pictures online. I think most people are unaware that a) this object exists, or b) the general public are permitted into this “entrance” area of a private members club – providing they do not attempt to pass through the barriers. Either way, there used to be five psychiatric hospitals in the Epsom area (known as the “Cluster”) – which suggests that many more maladies were once considered “mental illness” – even women demanding to vote or have a say. Working-class people “getting ill” so that their labour can no longer be exploited was also considered “psychotic” between earlier and middle part of its history (it existed between 1902-1997). One such unfortunate was a former wrestler who drive an ambulance during the Nazi German bombing of London. He was wounded by shrapnel in the neck – and he was placed in the psychiatric hospital – where he wasted away. He was a British Jewish person surnamed “Solomon” – who is buried in Horton Cemetery.

Cast-Iron Fence - Horton Cemetery!

UK: Epsom’s Victorian Horton Cemetery! (13.9.2026)

Of course, the local area is now covered in roads and domestic and commercial buildings, with only smaller sections visible. These areas are more or less wild and uneven. We know this because we walked along about half a mile of what was one of the boundaries of the graveyard – before entering a relatively small area of the graveyard proper which still retained its cast-iron fence. Placed along the adjacent wooden fence – there were the biographies of the deceased that local historians had respectfully researched. The walking was rough-going due to the uneven terrain – which is not suitable for the inform. Efforts are ongoing to do something about the state of the place through raising awareness and funds. This pace was about a mile or so up the road from Horton Chapel – which was our next port of call.
