Cuba: 63rd Regular Session of the Human Rights Council – Geneva [9.9.2026] – Statement By Ambassador Rodolfo Benitez Verson! (10.9.2026)

The perverse and deliberate purpose of the United States is to cause extreme shortages and total asphyxiation to Cuban families. They are trying to invoice a humanitarian tragedy to destabilise the country and achieve their political objectives.

In what constitutes an unprecedented reinforcement of the blockade, since last January the United States has imposed a brutal energy siege against Cuba. They threaten reprisals against any country that supplies oil to the island. The shortage of fuels has had a devastating impact on almost all areas of society.

Due to a lack of electricity and supplies, the national health system is forced to postpone non-urgent surgeries to prioritize life-defining ones. More than 100,000 patients are waiting for surgery, of which 12,000 are children. Life expectancy for children with cancer fell from 85% to 65%. The infant mortality rate has grown from 4.4 per thousand births in 2018 to 9.9 in 2025. Of the 395 drugs that Cuba produces within its basic health system, 300 are in short supply due to difficulties in accessing raw materials.

Cuba: An International School for Health & Hope! (3.9.2026)

At the end of this academic year, Cuban universities delivered 30,185 new professionals to the country and the world. Engineers, architects, pedagogues, scientists, nurses, technologists… Young people who have sweated in the classrooms, who have studied with just the right resources, who have overcome fatigue and adversity to become what this country needs to move forward.

Among those 30,185 there are 735 young people from 62 countries. Students who came from all continents – Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe – who shared desks with Cubans, who learned our language, our medicine, our solidarity, our way of understanding life as service. Who return to their lands with a degree and, also, with a way of seeing the world that is not taught in any manual.

And among them, two figures should make the blindest pause: 23 new Palestinian doctors.

Young people who will return to their land – a land that burns under bombs and rubble – not with weapons in their hands, but with stethoscopes around their necks. With the knowledge to save lives in the place in the world where it is most needed. With the ethics that Cuban medicine instills: first the human being, then everything else.

Meyvis stressed that Fidel left everyone the teaching that youth is not a passing stage, and that dignity is not negotiable. "We have to be consistent with Fidel," said the young Cuban, who, among other beautiful ideas, expressed: "May the eternal young rebel of the Revolution always accompany us."

Cuba: Speech [Central Ceremony] 73rd Anniversary [1953-2026] of the Assault on the Moncada & Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks! (27.7.2026)

US Neo-Imperialism is killing Cuba and these posts are merely documenting this crime as it unfolds. When the USSR collapsed in 19991, many of us switched to financially donating to Cuba in an effort to beat the blockade. Yes – it was basically small amounts – but it all added-up in a time prior to the internet. Of course, an individual cannot take the place of the State – particularly members of the working-class who do not possess very much income and whose resources are always stretched. The capitalist countries outside of the US do not care about Cuba – as they support the destruction of all Socialism. Those Socialist countries that do exist are either developing themselves (and exist in various stages of poverty), or are immersed in the capitalist system (through trade) – so that they cannot provide an alternative to it (as the USSR used to do). Merely complaining every so – often using words – does nothing to prevent the strangle-hold the US has on Cuba. The US is creating poverty – and then blaming Socialism for this poverty. It is an old US trick (after centuries of making immense profit and wealth from African slavery – the North impoverished the South through a sea blockade – claiming “slavery is unprofitable”). Economic terrorism is the American way. As with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq – after years of sanctions killing Iraqi people – the US switched from sanctions to bombs and bullets to speed-up the process. Stay tuned.

Jamaica Expels Cuban Doctors for Trump!

Cuba: Ungrateful Jamaican Government “Expels” Doctors Providing “Free” Medical Services in the Service of Racist Trump! (8.3.2026)

Cuba regrets decision of the government of Jamaica to cease medical cooperation by giving in to pressure from the United States

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba informs that, on March 4, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jamaica informed our Embassy in that country of its government’s unilateral decision to terminate the cooperation agreement on health matters that has linked both nations for decades.

With this action, the government of Jamaica gives in to pressure from the United States government, which is not concerned about the health needs of the Caribbean brothers.

Cuba deeply regrets that a history of fruitful and sustained collaboration that has brought countless benefits to the Jamaican people, who are now deprived of the basic and specialized health services provided by Cuban collaborators, is underestimated in this way.

In view of the step taken by the government of Jamaica, the government of Cuba has taken the sovereign decision to proceed with the return of the Cuban Medical Brigade. These health professionals leave behind an indelible mark and return to Cuba with the satisfaction of having fulfilled their duty and the permanent willingness to assist wherever their vocation of solidarity is required.

Cuban Coastguard Defeats US Terrorist Boat!

Cuba: Latest [Sea-Borne] US-Terrorist Attack Defeated! (27.6.2026)

As already reported, among the elements seized on the vessel are weapons. Among these weapons are assault rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, Molotov cocktails, multiple assault equipment – including night vision equipment, bulletproof vests, assault bayonets, camouflage clothing, ammunition of various calibres, food for use in combat, media and an important group of monograms of counter-revolutionary organizations of a terrorist nature. This information remains preliminary. More details will be provided in the coming days.

This is not an isolated act.

Cuba has been the victim of aggression and countless terrorist acts for more than 60 years. Most of them are organized, financed and executed from the territory of the United States.

In recent years, the Cuban authorities have denounced the increase in violent and terrorist actions and intrigues against Cuba, which have been inflicted through a feeling of impunity among the organizers and executors – in the face of any corrective action being taken against these criminals. The Cuban authorities have regularly provided the United States Government with information on persons who in recent years have been engaged in promoting, financing and organizing violent and terrorist acts against Cuba.
