This Tuesday afternoon, with the presence of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, the Youth Forum “I believe in you” took place, from which the new generations from different latitudes spoke about the legacy of the Commander in Chief. The conference was held in the context of the First International Colloquium “Fidel: legacy and future”, on its second day.
I have translated this (2024) article as it is succinct and to the point. However, there are articles today (2026) discussing how this picture is now on display in Moscow again. This picture is huge and I have conveyed its size in the picture above. Joseph Stalin was perhaps the greatest working class leader whoever lived. He built the USSR – and protected it from Trotsky – after the 1924 death of Lenin. He initiated the 1936 Constitution of the USSR. He took on and beat Adolf Hitler – saving the world from fascism. He steered the USSR through the war years – and inspired the Soviet Space Effort. Following his 1953 death – he was betrayed by Khrushchev (and his followers) – who laid the foundations for Gorbachev and the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union. Even today, there are brain-washed Russians who believe the lies of the US – and see Joseph Stalin as a “Tyrant” – despite the fact that he was continuously “elected” into office – with the people refusing to allow him to retire. He literally died in office because the Soviet people demanded it.
US Neo-Imperialism is killing Cuba and these posts are merely documenting this crime as it unfolds. When the USSR collapsed in 19991, many of us switched to financially donating to Cuba in an effort to beat the blockade. Yes – it was basically small amounts – but it all added-up in a time prior to the internet. Of course, an individual cannot take the place of the State – particularly members of the working-class who do not possess very much income and whose resources are always stretched. The capitalist countries outside of the US do not care about Cuba – as they support the destruction of all Socialism. Those Socialist countries that do exist are either developing themselves (and exist in various stages of poverty), or are immersed in the capitalist system (through trade) – so that they cannot provide an alternative to it (as the USSR used to do). Merely complaining every so – often using words – does nothing to prevent the strangle-hold the US has on Cuba. The US is creating poverty – and then blaming Socialism for this poverty. It is an old US trick (after centuries of making immense profit and wealth from African slavery – the North impoverished the South through a sea blockade – claiming “slavery is unprofitable”). Economic terrorism is the American way. As with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq – after years of sanctions killing Iraqi people – the US switched from sanctions to bombs and bullets to speed-up the process. The Danish Security and Intelligence Service told media that Greenland has increasingly been the target of influence campaigns aimed at creating tension between Copenhagen and Nuuk, Greenland’s capital.

Tibet is the first provincial-level region in China to provide 15 years of publicly funded education, from kindergarten all the way up to senior high school. By contrast, there was not a single proper school, and the illiteracy rate among young people exceeded 95 percent in old Tibet.
The changes in Tibet are a vivid epitome of China’s reform and development. Chinese modernization is the only correct choice for building a strong country and advancing national rejuvenation, said Yan Jinhai, head of the regional government, in a speech marking the historical movement that ended serfdom in Tibet 64 years ago.
In the past 10 years, Yan said, Tibet has achieved high-quality development, maintained rapid economic growth, and heavily invested in education, medical care, culture, housing, employment, and social security. Tibet has shaken off absolute poverty and kept on pace with the whole country in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
