The Arab League further asserted that such acts constitute crimes against humanity that necessitate accountability. It called for an immediate end to all repressive practices and mistreatment of Palestinian prisoners, demanding that they be treated in accordance with international human rights standards and international humanitarian law.
It also urged that the International Committee of the Red Cross and independent oversight bodies be granted unrestricted access to Ramla Prison and the “Rakafet” wing to document conditions and provide necessary medical care to the injured.
Furthermore, it called for an independent and transparent international investigation into these violations, the prosecution of those responsible, the immediate release of sick and wounded prisoners, and the cessation of all forms of arbitrary detention.
