China: Chinese Scientists Report First Likely Sighting of Black-Hole Devouring White Dwarf! (12.2.2026)

Chinese astronomers said they have likely captured the first direct evidence of a mid-sized black hole ripping apart and consuming a white dwarf star, shedding new light on a long-theorized but rarely observed cosmic process.

The discovery is based on observations of a powerful high-energy space explosion known as EP250702a, detected by China’s Einstein Probe satellite, according to the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The findings were published this month in the journal Science Bulletin.

Mid-sized black holes, thought to bridge the gap between stellar-mass and supermassive black holes, are difficult to detect because they produce few observable signals unless actively feeding on nearby matter.

IOC Internet Investigation 2026

UK: US Internet Companies Scrutinised Across Western World! (12.2.2026)

These concerns relate to whether personal data has been processed lawfully, fairly and transparently, and whether appropriate safeguards were built into Grok’s design and deployment to prevent the generation of harmful manipulated images using personal data. Where those safeguards fail, individuals lose control of their personal data in ways that expose them to serious harm. Examining these risks is central to the ICO’s role in protecting people’s rights and holding organisations to account as they design and deploy AI technology.

According to MaltaPost, the Year of the Horse stamp features an elegant design that blends elements of traditional Chinese silk luo with artistic concepts inspired by Maltese lace-making. The stamp will be available at major post offices across Malta and through online sales channels.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to Malta Zhang Zuo said that the stamp, carrying messages of friendship and good wishes, would become a warm and positive chapter in the history of cultural exchanges between China and Malta.

Malta’s Ambassador to China John Busuttil, who addressed the event via video link, said that the zodiac stamp project serves as a vivid example of bilateral friendship and offers the Maltese public greater insight into China’s rich cultural heritage.

China: Palaeontologists Unearth New Dinosaur Species with Never-Before-Seen Skin Structures! (11.2.2026)

The new species was a type of iguanodontian, a major group of ornithopod dinosaurs.

Evolutionarily, they sit between small, early bipedal ornithopods and the later, highly specialized duck-billed dinosaurs (hadrosaurs).

“Iguanodontia were the dominant herbivorous dinosaurs in most terrestrial ecosystems throughout the Cretaceous,” said Dr. Pascal Godefroit from the Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels and his colleagues.

“The clade reached its zenith during the closing stage of this period, as hadrosaurids — or duck-billed dinosaurs — spread over most continents.”

“The discovery of remarkable ‘mummies’ from North America and Mongolia revealed precious information about hadrosaurid integument, which consisted of an intricate and often mosaic arrangement of tubercle-like and non-imbricating scales, with enlarged tabular scales along their dorsal midline.”

Cambodia: 110 Chinese Nationals Deported for Suspected Online Fraud! (10.2.2026)

The group was repatriated on a chartered flight organized by Cambodia’s General Department of Immigration, with Chinese police participating in the transfer process.

China’s ambassador to Cambodia, Wang Wenbin, met with Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Sar Sokha, earlier on Saturday to discuss cooperation in combating telecom and online fraud.

Wang said China places high importance on protecting the safety and legal rights of its citizens in Cambodia and has raised concerns with Cambodian authorities over recent cases involving missing Chinese nationals, many of which he said were linked to online fraud.

China: Newly Released “Epstein Files” Fuel Political Fallout in Multiple Countries! (10.2.2026)

In Britain, Morgan McSweeney has resigned as chief of staff to Prime Minister Keir Starmer amid allegations that he was responsible for the appointment of Peter Mandelson to the position of ambassador to the United States, Sky News reported Sunday.

Mandelson, 72, was appointed ambassador to Washington in early 2025. Starmer later dismissed him after just seven months in the post amid fallout from an earlier release of Epstein-related files.

Mandelson’s name has reappeared in media coverage of the latest disclosures. British police have opened a criminal investigation into him over alleged misconduct in public office, including questions related to the handling of sensitive information.

“The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong,” McSweeney said in a resignation letter published by local media. “He has damaged our party, our country and trust in politics itself. When asked, I advised the prime minister to make that appointment and I take full responsibility for that advice.”

Starmer on Thursday also apologized for his previous decision to appoint Mandelson as the ambassador, saying that he had underestimated the seriousness of Mandelson’s past association with Epstein.
