Buddhism: Beyond Materialism & Idealism

For the Buddha, delusion generates itself in cycles of endless repetition. Causes lead to consequences, and this systems appears to transmit itself from one birth to the next. However, this should not be interpreted in a theistic or mystical fashion. Whatever the Buddha is referring to, it can not be obvious reincarnation favoured by certain religious theories, as the Buddha fundamentally rejects such notions in his teachings. Rebirth and karma, as used by the Buddha, appear to be a method of interpretation that avoids the trap of gross materialism, whilst using the rational mind.

London Borough of Sutton Attacks Disabled Parking

On November the 1st, 2013, the Parking Services department of Sutton Council issued a letter to all Blue Badge Holders within the Borough, stating that residents of the exclusive Belmont area of the city have requested that Sutton Council revoke the right of disabled vehicle owners to park in permit parking bays in the area. Blue Badge Holders are informed that Ward Counsellors are in support of this measure and that Sutton Council will soon be amending the parking law. Disabled people living in the area in question have not been consulted, nor have disabled people living in the Borough in general. The local non-disabled residents of Belmont have expressed a dislike for the presence of those with disabilities legally parking in the area.

Racist BNP Ousted From Croydon 5.10.13

The ConDem Coalition government of the UK has continued its attack on the British Working Class by systematically dismantling the Welfare State and the National Health Service so that the rich can have tax cuts for no reason at all other than to make an ideological statement. In the meantime, thousands starve, become maimed and disabled, and die of easily curable diseases and neglect. Britain, due to its shameful imperialist past is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, and there is no need to cut the Welfare State or the NHS. Indeed, Britain is so wealthy that the Welfare State and the NHS should be extended so that private enterprise is permanently wiped out through disencouragement. There is certainly no reason to attack and demonise the Disabled in the UK by cutting their benefits and arbitrarily declaring them fit for work. In times to come this will surely be viewed as a crime against humanity.
