One day in November 2014, respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited a foodstuff factory.

Saying with satisfaction that the panorama of the newly-remodeled factory is very wonderful, he went round its various parts with pleasure.

At the combined control room, he saw a large display board installed on the front wall and expressed satisfaction at the establishment of an integrated production management system.

He kindly asked an official to explain it and listened to his explanation carefully.

Then he stressed that each foodstuff factory should realize the modernization of production lines on a higher level like this factory, adding that modernization based on foreign equipment, not on our own efforts and technology, cannot be termed modernization in its true sense.

He stated that modernization demanded by the Workers’ Party of Korea is the one based on our Juche-oriented forces and technology, not based on the strength and technology of other countries.

His meaningful teachings reflected the iron truth that to strictly rely on one’s own strength and technology is the key to developing the country’s economy and hastening the national prosperity. (End)

현대화의 참의미

경애하는 김정은동지께서는 2014년 11월 어느날 한 식료공장을 찾으시였다.

인사를 올리는 일군들에게 새로 개건현대화한 공장의 전경이 아주 멋있다고 하시며 못내 만족해하시던 경애하는 총비서동지께서는 기쁘신 마음을 안으시고 공장의 여러곳을 돌아보시였다.

공장의 종합지령실에도 들리신 경애하는 총비서동지께서는 정면에 설치한 대형현시판을 보시고 통합생산관리체계를 구축해놓았다고 반색하시였다.

경애하는 총비서동지께서는 한 일군에게 한번 설명해보라고 다정히 이르시고는 그 일군의 설명을 주의깊게 들어주시였다.

경애하는 총비서동지께서는 앞으로 식료공장들에서 이 공장에서처럼 생산공정의 현대화를 높은 수준에서 실현하도록 하여야 하겠다고 이르시면서 우리의 힘과 기술로가 아니라 다른 나라 설비들을 그대로 들여다놓는 식으로 실현한 현대화는 본래의 의미에서 볼 때 현대화라고 할수 없다고 말씀하시였다.

그러시면서 우리 당이 요구하는 현대화는 다른 나라의 힘과 기술에 의거한 현대화가 아니라 우리의 주체적인 력량과 우리의 기술에 의거한 현대화이라고 강조하시였다.

경애하는 총비서동지의 뜻깊은 가르치심에는 자체의 힘과 기술에 철저히 의거하는 여기에 나라의 경제를 발전시키고 조국의 부강번영을 앞당기는 근본비결이 있다는 고귀한 철리가 담겨져있었다.(끝)
