Oh yes – the fabled “Digital ID Card” has raised its head yet again. New Labour tried this in 2005 – and New Labour is pursuing exactly the same policy in 2025. It is as if 15 years of Tory and LibDems tyranny never happened. Here we are again with New Labour pursuing its relentless pro-US agenda. Of course, it is a distraction and does not really matter. The fact that the reactionary elements of the left and right are united in their rejection of something – proves that it quite literally idoes not matter. It is predatory capitalism that is the primary problem – but the working-class will not unite and overthrow the bourgeoisie – if the bourgeoisie is continuously throwing out deceptive irrelevancies to divert proletariat attention.
On a practical front, the working-class possesses no genuine freedom whilst the bourgeoise possesses control of the means of production – and the forces of production. From this practical and ideological dominance, all social and cultural reality flows from this. Under these conditions, the working-class exists to serve the purposes and well-being of the bourgeoisie. There is no freedom under these circumstances. Furthermore, the traditional banking system has transitioned to a digital format which logically means that material money comprised of metal and paper is coming to an end. Money has already transitioned to the realm of crypto-currency and marks on a computer screen. Banks are shutting local branches left, right, and centre, whilst sacking thousands of trained staff.
Banks like Metro in the UK, despite being found guilty of fraud, is controlled by Indian staff sat in Delhi (or other places in India) – pretending to be in real-life branches throughout England, etc. England has had a credit score system for many decades – so this is not new (and has curtailed personal freedom of choice as a consequence). Supermarkets are cutting staff and relying on self-surface AI tills. Many are closing real-life branches – and relying on massive warehouses delivering shops direct to private houses via internet orders. All this follows on from Thatcher destroying Britain’s manufacturing base by closing down the hundreds of hospitals and thousands of factories. The Post Office was privatised and then due to a computer error made by a Japanese computer – led to hundreds of non-White (and some White) postal staff being falsely imprisoned for committing theft and fraud.
Capitalism is the primary problem – not the distractions that the bourgeoisie invent to take the attention away from those who are easily led. What freedoms are the working-class losing through digital ID cards? Answer – none. We have no freedom to lose. Things are not better or worse – it is just continuous exploitation. Who cares how the fauna and flora looks whilst the establishment works its citizens to death? Not having IDs is no different to having ID cards – except in the mind of the reactionaries. It is a false flag issue that has no real substance. The banks are the foundation of the capitalist system and what the bankers want – they get – and nothing is allowed to get in their way. ID cards will permit the establishment to exploit the workers in an ever more efficient manner.
ID cards have the function of “focusing” the exploitation that is currently spread-out in an inefficient array of disparate services mediated by vague checks and balances. I do not believe ID cards will increase exploitation – but will merely serve to gather its forces into one place and one position – similar to focusing military fire upon the enemy. If you do not like living under enemy fire – there is no point complaining about the trees, the roads, or the rivers, etc. If you do not like living under fire – then get up and destroy the weapons that are firing at you! Destroy those who operate the weapons and stop the enemy producing these weapons. In other words, overthrow capitalism and stop falling for the smoke and mirrors tactics of the enemy. Soon, another diversion will take its place and all this argumentation will be completely forgotten.
