The Gaza Freedom Flotilla, the Madleen has set sail today from Catania, Sicily to embark on a humanitarian aid mission “to challenge Israel’s criminal blockade and help establish a sea corridor to Gaza.”
As the Flotilla left the port it was in the conspicuous presence of a military helicopter seemingly conducting surveillance and in an effort to intimidate the crew after their last voyage attempt was put to an abrupt end a month ago after Israeli drones attacked the ship and put an end to their mission.

وعند مغادرة السفينة للميناء، كان هناك حضور واضح لطائرة مروحية عسكرية يبدو أنها كانت تجري عمليات مراقبة، في محاولة لترهيب الطاقم، خاصة بعد أن تم إفشال محاولتهم السابقة قبل شهر، عندما هاجمت طائرات إسرائيلية بدون طيار السفينة وأوقفت مهمتهم.
