Deputy Secretary-General of the PFLP, Comrade Commander Jamil Mezher, said during the Memorial Service of the Martyr-Leader (and thinker) Walid Daqqa – held in Beirut, “We are living through pivotal and historical moments in the midst of the saga of the Al-Aqsa flood! The recent developments constitute an important turning-point and strategic transformation that will be reflected throughout the battlefield,” – stressing that the main concern (and the current basic effort) is to work to stop this massacre, the “Holocaust”, the great suffering, and the unparalleled catastrophe unfolding in the Gaza Strip! Within this focus – we continue the struggle to strengthen our steadfastness – in the face of this endless oppression.
During his speech at the Memorial Service was organized by the Press Syndicate in Beirut. Commander Mezher praised the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people throughout the Gaza Strip, stressing that our people have proved that they are a mighty and steadfast power, and that the criminal enemy (Zionists) have not been able to break their will, determination, and sense of belonging to their land! Mezher stressed that the Resistance is determined in its demands to stop the aggression and complete the full Zionist withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. to secure the return of all displaced persons to the areas from which they were displaced, the complete breaking of the siege on the Gaza Strip, the opening of all crossings and the entry of aid without restrictions or conditions!
The Deputy Secretary-General revealed that the Resistance has many weapons and powerful cards to play – through which it can alter reality in the entire region – noting that the legitimate Iranian strikes on military bases inside the entity constituted a qualitative shift in the history of the conflict with the enemy, and created new rules of engagement.
Commander Mezher expressed his complete confidence in the ability of our people in the West Bank and the valiant Resistance existing there to unleash a comprehensive Intifada, pointing out that all indicators suggest an explosion in the West Bank is very close.
Commander Mezher explained that the field developments taking place on the ground confirm that the Zionist entity seeks to sully the waters and drag the region into a US war of aggression, particularly after its strategic defeat in Gaza and the failure to achieve any of its war goals.
Comrade Deputy Secretary-General recalled the spirit of the captive fighter, martyr Walid Daqqa, saying: “We mourn a great and exceptional fighter in every sense of the word, one of the loyal and distinguished men of Palestine who carried the banner of thought and struggle, and who became one of the most prominent and inspiring Palestinian writers and thinkers produced throughout the history of the National Struggle.”
The Deputy Secretary-General affirmed the PFLP’s loyalty to the spirit of the martyr, Commander Abu Milad, and its pledge to the Prisoner Movement that it will follow the same path, and will continue its tireless struggle to liberate all male and female prisoners from the Occupation Prisons.
He explained that the great sacrifices made by our people in the Gaza Strip, and the heroic war-epic undertaken by the Resistance Fighters there, one of its most important goals has been the liberation of our prisoners, stressing that the issue of the prisoners has always been one of the priorities of the Palestinian Struggle, and a fixed title in our struggle, movement, and activities.
At the end of his speech praaising the martyr – Commander Abi Ahed pledged said that his spirit will continue to fly high in the sky over Palestine, all of Palestine, from its river to its sea (من نهرها إلى بحرها)!

قال نائب الأمين العام للجبهة الشعبية الرفيق القائد جميل مزهر خلال تأبين القائد والمفكر الشهيد وليد دقة في بيروت “إننا نعيشُ لحظاتٍ مفصليةً وتاريخيةً في خضمِ ملحمةِ طوفانِ الأقصى، وشّكلّت التطورات الأخيرة انعطافةٍ هامةٍ وتحولاتٍ استراتيجيةٍ ستنعكسُ على ميدانِ المعركةِ”، مؤكدًا أن الهم الرئيسي والجهد الأساسيِ ينصبُ اليومَ في كيفيةِ العملِ على وقفِ هذه المذبحةِ والمحرقةِ والمعاناةِ الكبيرةِ والكارثةِ التي لا مثيلَ لها في القطاعِ، وينصب على مواصلةِ النضالِ من أجلِ تعزيزِ صمودِهم.
وأشاد القائد مزهر خلال كلمة له في حفل تأبين الرفيق القائد المفكر وليد دقة الذي نُظم في نقابة الصحافة في بيروت بالصمود الأسطوري لشعبنا في قطاع غزة، مؤكداً أنه أثبت أنه شعبٌ جبارٌ وصامدٌ ولم يستطعْ هذا العدوُ المجرمُ أن يكسرَ إرادتَه وإصرارَه وانتمائَه لأرضِه.وشدد مزهر على أن المقاومة مصممة على مطالبِها بوقفِ العدوانِ والانسحابِ الصهيونيِ الكاملِ من القطاعِ، وعودةِ جميعِ النازحين إلى المناطقِ التي هجروا منها، وكسرِ الحصارِ بالكامل على القطاع، وفتحِ جميعِ المعابرِ وإدخالِ المساعداتِ دونَ قيدٍ أو شرط.
وكشف نائب الأمين العام بأن لدى المقاومةِ الكثيرُ من الأسلحةِ وأوراقِ القوةِ التي تستطيعُ من خلالِها تغييرَ الواقعِ في المنطقةِ برمتِها، مشيراً أن الضربات الإيرانية المشروعة على قواع عسكرية في داخل الكيان شّكلّت نقلةً نوعيةً في تاريخِ الصراعِ مع العدوِ، وخلقتْ قواعدَ اشتباكٍ جديدةٍ.
وأعرب القائد مزهر عن ثقته التامة بقدرة شعبِنا في الضفةِ وبالمقاومةِ الباسلةِ هناك على إطلاقِ العنانِ للانتفاضةِ الشاملةِ، لافتاً أن كلُ المؤشراتِ تقولُ أن الانفجارَ في الضفةِ باتَ قريباً جداً.
وأوضح القائد مزهر بأن ما يجري من تطوراتٍ ميدانيةٍ على الأرضِ، تؤكدُ أن الكيانَ الصهيونيَ يسعى إلى خلطِ الأوراقِ وجرِ المنطقةِ وتوريطِ الأميركيِ في حربٍ في المنطقة، بعد هزيمتِه الاستراتيجةِ في غزةَ وعدمِ تحقيقِ أي هدفٍ من أهدافِ حربِه.
واستحضر الرفيق نائب الأمين العام روح المناضل الأسير الشهيد وليد دقة، قائلاً: ” نؤبنَ مناضلاً كبيراً واستثنائياً بكلِ ما تحملُه الكلمةُ من معنىً، رجلٌ من رجالاتِ فلسطينَ الأوفياءِ والأفذاذِ الذين حملوا لواءَ الفكرِ والنضالِ، وبات واحداً من أبرزِ الأدباءِ والمفكرين الفلسطينيين على مدارِ تاريخِ النضالِ الوطنيِ الفلسطينيِ، ومن أكثرِهم تأثيراً وإلهاماً”.
وأكد نائب الأمين العام وفاء الجبهة لروحِ الشهيدِ القائدِ أبي ميلاد، وعهدَها للحركةِ الأسيرةِ بأنها ستسيرُ على ذاتِ الدربِ، وستواصلُ نضالَها الحثيثَ من أجلِ تحريرِ جميعِ الأسيراتِ والأسرى من سجونِ الاحتلالِ.
وأوضح بأن التضحياتِ الكبيرةَ التي يقدمُها شعبُنا في القطاعِ، والملحمةَ البطوليةَ التي تخوضُها المقاومةُ هناك كان أحدُ أهمِ أهدافِها هو تحريرُ الأسرى، مشدداً بأن قضيةُ الأسرى شكلتْ دوماً أولويةَ من أولوياتِ النضالِ الفلسطينيِ، وعنواناً ثابتاً في نضالنِا وحراكنِا وأنشطتِنا
وفي ختام كلمته، عاهد الشهيد القائد أبي ميلاد بأن روحه ستظل تحلق عالياً في سماء فلسطين، كل فلسطين، من نهرها إلى بحرها.
