Media Office of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon strongly condemns the UNRWA Administration’s intensification of punitive measures against some of its employees, on the grounds of their national affiliation. This policy is considered a blatant bias towards Zionist-American allegations and lies – and is a blatant assault upon personal freedoms guaranteed by international laws.
In a statement issued by its media office, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon considered the UNRWA Administration’s insistence on its punitive measures against the Head of the Teachers’ Union in Lebanon – Mr. Fateh Sharif – by suspending him from work for a period of three months and referring him to investigation. This protest includes an equal protest aganst the punitive measures that affected the Vice President. The Head of the Union of UNRWA Workers in Lebanon – Mr. Raif Ahmed – considers this policy to be malicious and punitive measures that are not based on any humanitarian or moral rules or standards, and in essence are an attempt to strip the Palestinian employee of his political and national affiliation.
This is especially true in light of the continuing campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The West is attacking UNRWA just as the Zionists are attacking Gaza and the entire Palestinian Territory. Distorting the image of UNRWA and its employees – whilst defunding its activity is part of the ongoing Zionist besieging of Gaza. All of this aims at liquidating UNRWA, as it is the living witness to the historical crime committed against the Palestinian people. The PFLP affirmed its full support for all UNRWA employees and workers of who are threatened by punitive measures by the UNRWA Administration.
The PFLP calls on all the forces of our people to confront these measures and suspicious campaigns to bring them down, and not to allow employees and workers of UNRWA to be singled out. The UNRWA Administration also called for the immediate withdrawal of all these punitive and malicious measures, which are not based on any legal or ethical standards or rules. The PFLP concluded its statement by emphasizing that no matter how great the scale of the conspiracies and challenges, our people will continue their struggle until their full goals of liberation and return are achieved.

الجبهة الشعبية تدين إمعان إدارة الأنروا بإجرائاتها العقابية بحق موظفيها على خلفية انتمائهم الوطني
لمكتب الإعلامي للجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين في لبنان
أدانت الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين في لبنان، بشدة إمعان إدارة الأنروا بإجراءاتها العقابية بحق بعض موظفيها، على خلفية انتمائهم الوطني، وإعتبرتها انحيازاً مفضوحاً للإدعاءات والأكاذيب الصهيو – أمريكية، واعتداء سافرا على الحريات الشخصية التي كفلتها القوانين الدولية.
وفي بيان صادر عن مكتبها الإعلامي، اعتبرت الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين في لبنان، إصرار إدارة الأنروا على إجراءاتها العقابية بحق رئيس اتحاد المعلمين في لبنان الأستاذ فتح شريف، بإيقافه عن العمل، لمدة ثلاثة أشهر، وإحالته الى التحقيق، وكذلك الإجراء العقابي الذي طال نائب رئيس اتحاد العاملين في الأنروا في لبنان الأستاذ رائف أحمد، واعتبرتها إجراءات عقابية كيدية لا تستند الى أي قواعد أو معايير إنسانية وأخلاقية، وهي في جوهرها محاولة لسلخ الموظف الفلسطيني عن نسيجه وانتمائه الوطني، خاصةً في ظل استمرار حملة الإبادة الجماعية التي يتعرض لها الشعب الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة وعموم الأرض الفلسطينية، خاصةً في ظل تصاعد الحملات الصهيو-أمريكية، لتشويه صورة الأنروا وموظفيها، ومحاصرتها ووقف التمويل عنها.
كل ذلك بهدف الى تصفية الأنروا، باعتبارها الشاهد الحي على الجريمة التاريخية التي ارتكبت بحق الشعب الفلسطيني.
وأكدت الجبهة وقوفها ودعمها التام لكل الموظفين والعاملين في الأنروا، الذين تتهددهم الإجراءات العقابية من قبل إدارة الأنروا، وتدعو كل قوى شعبنا ومكوناته للتصدي لهذه الإجراءات، والحملات المشبوهة وإسقاطها، وعدم السماح بالاستفراد بالموظفين والعاملين في الأنروا. كما دعت إدارة الأنروا الى التراجع الفوري عن كل تلك الإجراءات العقابية والكيدية، التي لا تستند الى أية معايير او قواعد قانونية او أخلاقية .
وختمت الجبهة بيانها بالتأكيد بأنه مهما تعاظم حجم المؤامرات والتحديات، فإن شعبنا سيواصل مسيرته الكفاحية حتى تحقيق كامل أهدافه في التحرير والعودة.
