Things were simple when I was at school in the 1970s and early 1980s – in fact they were simple until NASA’s Voyager Probes (I & II) finally made it to the outer reaches of our Solar System – and proved that “Pluto” was NOT a single (and tidy) planet existing on the fringes of outer space! Overnight, what we had been taught as a child collapsed in upon itself and the number of “true” planets dropped to “8” – with Pluto being relegated to a mere “Dwarf” planet – whatever that meant. I do remember various Astronomers stating that when looked at through a telescope – Pluto seemed to “shimmer” – as if there might be another planet hiding behind it (a fabled “10” planet called “Nibiru” as things stood).

What these visual explorers of the stars were seeing was a configuration of “5” smaller (spherical) constructs that seem to align with one another’s orbits from time to time. As you can see, only the second of these “dwarf” stars is now referred to as “Pluto” – with the other four possessing their own distinct names. These Planetoids are named (from near to far):
1) Ceres
2) Pluto
3) Haumea
4) Makemake
5) Eris
All except Ceres roam in the vast empty space beyond Neptune – whilst many possess their own Moons. I suspect that as far as Astrology is concerned, Pluto will retain its previous symbology as the furthest planet away from the Earth – and therefore (according to mythology and legend) the nearest planet to “Heaven” – and therefore the planet that represents spirituality.
