The Refugee Affairs Department of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) to assume its responsibilities towards providing relief to our people affected and displaced by the aggression – and move away from interfering in issues that do not concern it – and in which we do not allow interference.
The Department confirmed that the UNRWA Administration had abandoned its responsibilities since the first day of the Zionist aggression, and yielded to the threats of the Occupation – moving its Operations Centre from Gaza City to the South – leaving behind thousands of citizens groaning as a result of the bombing and hunger! This is dangerously in harmony with the displacement plans by the Zionist Occupation – which requires the ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinian people. UNRWA, acting as guardians of our people, assisted the murderous Israelis by assisting their plans to steal more Palestinian land. This is the pro-Zionist propaganda that UNRWA has been broadcasting since the beginning of the Zionist aggression.
The Department explained that what is required of the United Nations institutions and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees is to effectively stop the aggression and provide for the needs of our people hiding in Shelter Centres who are suffering under the weight of the Zionist aggression – in a way that alleviates their suffering – not to issue misleading instructions that are not their responsibility! Most important of all is the necessity of taking the decision to return to its Operations Centre in Gaza City, and assume its full responsibilities required for providing relief to our people throughout the Gaza Strip – and not in the South – where the Zionists would like us to be.
The Department called on the International Community, especially the United Nations institutions, to continue pressure to stop the Zionist aggression and break the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip first, with the importance of opening the crossings and bringing relief aid into the Gaza Strip – noting that International Institutions largely bear responsibility for the ongoing Zionist Holocaust against our people in the Gaza Strip – which is taking place through a green light from this complicit or negligent International Community.

دعت دائرة شؤون اللاجئين في الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين “الأونروا” إلى تَحمّل مسؤولياتها تجاه إغاثة أبناء شعبنا المتضررين والمهجرين، بفعل العدوان بعيداً عن التدخل في قضايا لا تخصها ولا نسمح بالتدخل فيها.
وأكدت الدائرة أن إدارة الأونروا تخلت عن مسؤولياتها منذ اليوم الأول للعدوان، ورضخت لتهديدات الاحتلال، ونقلت مركز عملياتها من مدينة غزة إلى الجنوب، وتركت خلفها آلاف المواطنين يئنون بفعل القصف والجوع، في تساوق خطير مع مخططات التهجير من قبل الاحتلال، ورغم كل ذلك نًصبّت في الساعات الأخيرة نفسها كوصاية دولية على شعبنا، عبر توجيه رسائل عامة إلى شعبنا، توهمت من خلال هذه البروبوغاندا أنها تستطيع أن تكُفّر عن أخطائها الجسيمة التي ارتكبتها منذ بدء العدوان.
وأوضحت الدائرة أن المطلوب من مؤسسات الأمم المتحدة، ووكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين، هو الوقف الفعلي للعدوان، وتوفير متطلبات شعبنا في مراكز الإيواء الذين يرزحون تحت وطأة العدوان بما يخفف من معاناتهم لا إصدار تعليمات واهية ليست من مسؤولياتها، والأهم من كل ذلك هو ضرورة أن تتخذ قراراً بالعودة إلى مركز عملياتها في مدينة غزة، وتحمل مسؤولياتها كاملة والمطلوبة في إغاثة أبناء شعبنا على امتداد مناطق القطاع وليس في الجنوب.
ودعت الدائرة المجتمع الدولي وخاصة مؤسسات الأمم المتحدة إلى مواصلة الضغط من أجل وقف العدوان، وكسر الحصار المفروض على القطاع أولاً، مع أهمية فتح المعابر وإدخال المساعدات الإغاثية إلى القطاع، منوهةً أن المؤسسات الدولية تتَحمّل إلى حدٍ كبير مسؤولية المحرقة الصهيونية المتواصلة بحق شعبنا في القطاع، والتي تجري بضوء أخضر من هذا المجتمع الدولي المتواطئ أو المتقاعس.
وختمت الدائرة بيانها بالتأكيد على أن شعبنا لن ينسى ولن يغفر للأونروا ما قامت به وهروبها من مسؤولياتها وتركها شعبنا فريسة للقصف والجوع خاصة في محافظتي الشمال وغزة.
