The Olympic Medal was awarded to the DPRK’s Honorary Member of the International Olympic Committee – Jang Woong – at the 141st General Assembly of the International Olympic Committee held in Mumbai, India.
The International Olympic Committee evaluated Honorary Member Jang Woong – who has been serving as a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1996 and as an honorary member since 2019 – for his efforts in creating a platform for goodwill and understanding through sports.
The Olympic Medal is the highest decoration granted by the International Olympic Committee – awarded to those who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the Olympic Movement. (End)

우리 나라의 장웅 국제올림픽위원회 명예위원에게 올림픽훈장 수여

인디아의 뭄바이에서 진행된 제141차 국제올림픽위원회 총회에서 우리 나라의 장웅 국제올림픽위원회 명예위원에게 올림픽훈장이 수여되였다.
국제올림픽위원회는 1996년부터 국제올림픽위원회 위원으로 활동하였으며 2019년부터는 명예위원으로 사업하고있는 장웅명예위원이 체육을 통하여 친선과 리해의 뉴대를 마련한데 대하여 평가하였다.
올림픽훈장은 올림픽운동의 발전에 특출한 공헌을 한 사람들에게 수여되는 국제올림픽위원회의 최고훈장이다.(끝)
