We object to Nick Clegg being offered a Knighthood
Nick Clegg – as the Leader of the Liberal Democrats, and as Deputy Prime Minister in the Tory-LibDems Coalition (2010-2015), was responsible not only for the facilitation of the devastating ‘Austerity’ policy initiated by both political parties, but also the subsequent deaths of around 120,000 vulnerable, poor and disabled people in the UK, through the privatisation of the NHS and the dismantling of the Welfare State. In fact, the UN in 2016 found the Tory-LibDems Coalition Government ‘Guilty of Crimes Against Humanity’ for the deaths of at least 10,000 people in the UK suffering from a range of disabilities. As a consequence of the illegal actions of Nick Clegg, the UK now joins Nazi Germany as the only two countries in Europe to have been internationally investigated and confirmed as violators of Human Rights. Nick Clegg is not a role model – he is a criminal – who should be imprisoned and not granted a knighthood by the Queen.
