The Estate Agents is Called "Progressive" in North Bergen!

I suppose as I write predominantly in “English” it is inevitable that a US audience will be attracted – if not only out of curiously – rather than any great political engagement. Surely, it would be logical to think this (of course, I exclude my progressive US readership from this assessment). Imagine my surprise when I saw that around half of the 900 or so hits my blog attracts (each week) in the US is from a single city – namely “North Bergen” in New Jersey. The name is either Dutch or Scandinavian – but the British once ruled this area. I have been reading about ths place as quite frankly I am astonished that my output would be of any interest to the average American – let alone in a single city. It could be a fluke and I am reading too much into it – but I am grateful for every read and click my work attracts – whether the content is liked or not. So, to those people of “North Bergen” who I will never meet or personally know – I thank you for the “click” – even if it was in error. Thank you for giving me something “new” to research. Thank you for sharing this path through my words!

US: 25 States “Sue” Trump Administration Over Section 301 Tariffs! (4.8.2026)

The coalition is asking the court to block the tariffs, declare them unlawful, and order refunds for the duties already paid.

The legal challenge centres on the administration’s effort to preserve Trump’s broad tariff regime after federal courts rejected two earlier versions imposed under different statutory frameworks. The states argue that federal officials seized upon Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 and forced-labour concerns merely as a pretext to rapidly recreate nearly identical global duties that the Supreme Court previously struck down in February.

“President Trump’s illegal tariffs are nothing more than a tax on hardworking families, driving up the cost of groceries, household essentials, building materials, and countless everyday goods that New Yorkers rely on,” said New York Governor Kathy Hochul in a statement.

However, I think the above video is very interesting from a sociological perspective. We are not permitted to own guns in the UK – but the police can shoot us dead if they feel the need. So be it. What we need to do is organise ourselves to a greater degree. We need to be clever and play cerebral chess with the capitalists. We must defend ourselves when the time is right. As a Chinese martial artist – I have had hundreds of fights in my life – using bare-hands and feet. Fighting is also about a superior position of the mind in the body – and about the body in the environment. Anything is possible. Watch this video and learn from it. As a Maoist and Stalinist – I am an “Internationalist” – even though the bourgeoisie will use all kinds of derisive tactics to keep us apart, and fight one another. The bourgeoisie will privilege one group over another to maintain the violence – this is how Reform UK is gaining political ground. These derisive tactics have to stop – so that the injustice that prevents “Internationalism” is removed. This barrier between migrants and indigenous people must be removed – so that aggression is replaced with compassion.
