This is a Western (capitalist), reactionary, Trotskyite, and entirely fascist attitude. Furthermore, it is pseudo-history. Joseph Stalin was working-class (most old Bolsheviks were middle-class) and was Georgian – not Russian (Stalin rejected all forms of nationalism – including Russian). The Soviet Union was a collective of around 15 or 16 countries (depending on era) that acted in Socialist collaboration. The history of the Soviet Union is not the history of Russia – even if Russia was the socio-economic driving force. The point of the 1917 Revolution was a new era in human evolution – a step forward and away from feudalism and capitalism.

Viktor Talalikhin was buried in Moscow’s Novodevichy Cemetery with full military honours. His name was forever listed among personnel of the 1st squadron of a fighter aircraft regiment with whom he served near Moscow. Streets in multiple Russian cities, including Moscow, Volgograd, Borisoglebsk, Chelyabinsk and Nizhny Novgorod, as well as the Podolsk Central Park, are named in his honour.
During intense fighting in the summer of 1941, Talalikhin’s selfless feat inspired millions. Soviet pilots rammed enemy aircraft on over 600 occasions during the war.
Russia’s Federal Security Service said the gunmen had contacts in Ukraine and were captured near the border.
The claim was dismissed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in a statement on the social media platform X on Sunday that “there is no evidence to support such claims”.
