She then applied to King’s College Hospital for a position as ‘Midwife’ and was successful in that endeavour! This is something of an extraordinary ‘double’ achievement as the standards are extremely high in both establishments! This is the badge Midwives are awarded to wear on their work-uniforms as a mark of respect – in recognition that they have gained this honour!
