UK: Tories Suffer Massive Losses in Local Council Elections – But Does it Matter? (6.5.2023)

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that his party’s losses were disappointing, but he did not believe there had been a massive movement towards the Labour Party.

Labour leader Keir Starmer said his party was on course to win a majority at the next general election.

Professor John Curtice, a polling expert, said that based on the current results Labour should be the leader in next year’s parliamentary election. However, it is uncertain whether they will win an outright majority, he said.

Under Britain’s electoral rules, a general election must be called before the end of 2024.

Professor John Bryson, a political expert from the University of Birmingham, told Xinhua that local elections should not necessarily be seen as indicative of voter behavior in a future general election.

No political party in the country currently has a viable strategy to underpin sustainable growth and address the structural fiscal deficit that Britain has been experiencing for “far too long”, Bryson said.

Many went into battle “unarmed”! More than a thousand captured US-CIA mercenaries were exchanged by Cuba for medicines and agricultural equipment – forcing the United States to temporarily violate the conditions of the criminal economic blockade of the island – which has been going on now – due to the inherent corruption of President Kennedy – for 63 years!

We think that this (trans-racial) theme is really cool – and that the Queen of Great Britain (Elizabeth II) – should also be played by a Black woman! Why not – such a Black woman will be called ‘British’! This is the new reality being exported into the modern UK – from the colonies dominated for hundreds of years by England! Those that once “ruled” are no longer in charge – and those who used to be “ruled” have taken over the country! The indigenous people of England have forgotten their true identity and have become sullied by those they once ruled! A ‘New’ Red Army Will Crush the Insidious Nature of Contemporary White Supremacy! (12.12.2022)

We must forge a ‘New’ Red Arny of many different modern and up to date components – and not just in the conventional military sense – to face down this threat of congealed and festering fascism which is spreading and gestating throughout the US controlled internet! We must take away this sense of ‘comfort’ and ‘safety’ that these criminals and child-molesters feel they now possess simply because of the favour the bourgeoisie currently extends in their direction! Fascists must never be allowed to take political power again – and we must suffocate the power they now have out of their collective lungs! Do not let them breath, speak or act with any ease! This way the ‘New’ Red Army will rain devastation down upon the heads of the fascist in yet a new way to that applied during the 1940s! Fighting fascism is the duty of every true Communist!

Gary Younge, a sociology professor at the University of Manchester, once commented that dollars play a decisive role in U.S. politics. He wrote, “U.S. elections: no matter who you vote for, money always wins.”

In 1863, the ideal democratic government of the United States was depicted by then-U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in his landmark Gettysburg Address as the “government of the people, by the people, for the people.”

More than 150 years later, the fig leaf of democracy can no longer cover up the corruption of the American political system. Kishore Mahbubani, a Singaporean scholar, put it best in his book The Asian 21st Century. “Americans are proud of their democratic political system. But the facts show that America has increasingly come to resemble a plutocracy, where society is governed of the 1%, by the 1%, for the 1%.”
