Israeli Group Urges US to Label UN Human Rights Council a ‘Hate Group’! (25.5.2023)

In a letter sent to Deborah Lipstadt, the US special envoy for antisemitism, Shurat HaDin said the UNHRC is an “inherently antisemitic organization” and that it is working to delegitimise Israel by “reviving the banner of ‘Zionism is racism’.”

“The UNHRC is deeply infected with antisemitism and should be regarded as one of the largest perpetrators of Jew hatred internationally,” the group argues in its letter.

“The agency’s obsession with Israel [and] the themes and motives that guide the UNHRC and its actions portray numerous indications of antisemitism according to the internationally accepted IHRA definition.”

Shurat Hadin also asked Lipstadt to open an investigation of the UN body to monitor its actions and “irrational targeting” of Israel.

In turn, Abdel-Al welcomed the Delegation, as he noted the importance of the forces of the Arab National Liberation Movement as a Revolutionary movement in the face of dependence and normalization – and in support of Palestine and its cause – noting that it is full of people who are Fighters and Revolutionaries who support the Palestinian cause, (including the people of Kuwait), and how these facts indicate a strong awareness of this issue. While defending the Palestinian identity, we are defending the idea, because the Zionist project is a colonial tool that threatens our peoples and the entire region!

The Popular Front in Tyre also participated in the Solidarity Stand on the occasion of April 17th, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, at the invitation of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Al-Buss camp. At the invitation of the New Generation Majd Organization in Burj al-Shamali Camp, a Delegation from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, including Ibrahim Khattab, the leadership of the Front in the Camps, the Palestinian Resistance Factions, Lebanese Parties and Forces, and the people of the Camp participated in the Solidarity Stand on the occasion of April 17th, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, in solidarity With Our Brave Prisoners languishing in the Concentration Camps of the Zionist Occupation! Others delivered speeches inspired by The Palestinian Popular Women’s Committees, in cooperation with Doctors Without Borders, the latter of which also held a Health Symposium, entitled Anemia, in its Office at the Burj Al-Barajneh Concetration Camp, in the presence of numerous women and girls Comrades in the Women’s Committees.

Lebanon People’s Assembly Received a Delegation from the Syrian Socialist National Party! (17.4.2023)

On the occasion of ‘Palestinian Prisoner’s Day’ (which falls on the 17th of April of each year) a Delegation from the Syrian Social Nationalist Party – Headed by Wahib Wehbe – came to Lebonan! Wahib Wehbe is personally responsible for the ‘Palestinian File’ Administered by the Syrian Socialist Nationalist Party. He was accompanied by his Secretary and Lawyer – Samah Mahdi! Together they visited the Office of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine currently situated in Mar Elias Camp, in Beirut – on Monday (17.4.2023). The Delegation was received by the Official of the Popular Front in Lebanon – Haitham Abdo – and a number of other important members of the leadership of the Lebanon Branch!
