CSA: Celebrating the Confederate 1862 “Liberation” of Maryland from Lincoln’s Tyranny! (19.5.2026)

I am blessed to have been born a free Englishman. British academics are the best in the world when not under duress from oppressive governments. I have piles of English books written fairly about the Confederacy – a movement I believe would have led to a “Socialist” North America if it ha prevailed. The CSA would now be supplying the Comrade-State of Cuba (instead of killing it through sanctions), rewarding a Socialist Cina, Vietnam, Laos, Venezuela and Iran – whilst blockading what is left of the Federal States for their greed and belligerence toward Socialist States. The Native Americans would have their own Independent country in what is now the Western United States – free of Eurocentric interference – whilst the State of Israel would be in a remote area of Brazil with “Zionism” being outlawed as a form of Jewish-derived “White Supremacy” (see the 1975 UN Resolution) and the subsequent ICC and ICJ Declamations regarding the Zionist Genocide in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. South Africa would be rewarded for holding Israel accountable for its Crimes Against Humanity and Trotskyism (as a right-wing attack on Marxist-Leninism) would be an imprisonable deviation. Thank you to the Confederate soldiers who gave their lives in pursuit of a higher freedom!

Prussian Knot - Colonel Confederate Hate!

CSA: Gifted Cap & T-Shirt! (26.4.2026)

Yesterday, I received a replica “kapi” hat with the rank of “Colonel” signified by the gold braid and Prussian-knot. I do not understand these ranks but assume that it has something to do with the German participation in the American Civil War. On top of this I am wearing a grey T-Shirt that humorously records all the battles fought by General Robert E Lee as he guided the Army of Northern Virginia in and out of the Northern (Federal) States. It is a historically accurate list with one or two battles I have not heard of before. The Confederate States is a fascinating time in US history and much of it is obscured and/or misrepresented. British military historians tend to be more level-headed about the reality of the Confederate States and the reasons it fought against the North.

CSA: Remembering the Bravery of “Irish” Company “K” – 15th Alabama – Little Round-Top [2.7.1863] – Gettysburg! (3.4.2025)

The weather was hot – and the Confederates had to advance over open ground before storming an inclined slope (in the form of a steep hill) – with the intention of sweeping the Federals off its top and consolidating the victory. The previous day had seen the Confederates sweep the Federals out of West and Central Gettysburg – and into the hills to its East. Washington was just 80 miles to the South – and legend has it that Lincoln was packing his belongings to flee! I have audio-typed part of a chapter from Stephen Sears’ book – carefully reproducing the text from an Audible edition (in my native British English). This provides a general background to the battle – but does not mention the Irish specifically – other than one or two fighting for the Union. For the story of “Company K” of the 15th Alabama Regiment of the Confederate States of America (CSA) – we must turn to the excellent work of Phillip Thomas Tucker – who has produced an excellent book examining the contribution to the Confederate cause made by the Irish!

CSA: Would a Confederate Victory Have Led to a Socialist Revolution? (28.2.2025)

However, the Southern ideas of honour and their so-called aristocratic thinking were overblown and these ideas actually sometimes played to the South’s benefit, as the men in the South followed natural leaders and often times appointed them on their own (via popular vote). All too often, in the North, Officers were often political appointees – desk-bound Officers who hadn’t seen a battlefield in years – or ever. Or men who simply bought their way into a General’s uniform. One of the more stereotypical views of the South was the aforementioned backward, backwoodsman. Think about that for a moment. Yes – a significant portion of the Confederate Army was poor, uneducated, and illiterate. Some left-leaning historians have said  – with some accuracy – that the poor Whites of the South had more in common with the slaves – than they did with the leading families who owned most of the land and the fabulous estates like the fictional “Tara” in Gone With the Wind.
