China: Nearly 1,000 Doctors Arrive in Xizang to Deliver Free Medical Care for Local Residents! (14.7.2026)

Specialists in more than 20 fields, including cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, and gynecology, opened temporary clinics for local residents and railway workers.

During the programme, doctors provided consultations, health screenings, medicines, and follow-up care, while some performed operations alongside local medical teams and demonstrated clinical techniques.

The initiative also focused on strengthening local healthcare so that it would continue after the visiting team’s departure on July 12. Participants trained medical workers, shared treatment expertise, and established contacts for continued professional support.

Cubans Assist Venezuelans During Earthquake!

Cuba: Socialist Doctors Search Under the Rubble for the Heartbeat of Venezuelan Comrades! (29.6.2026)

The same ones we met knocking on doors in La Quebradita, asking about the hypertensive, the asthmatic, the child with a fever. The same ones who climbed hills with a light backpack and an infinite load of humanity.

But now they don’t go up: they run, they leave without time, without rest, without guarantees. They wrap themselves in their medical robes – as if they were invisible cloaks – and throw themselves against disaster.

There is no protocol that is enough when life slips through the fingers, and even so, they improvise, resist, save.

We saw them do it before: Lidia talking until her death as if she were an old acquaintance, refusing to let her in; or Yanara opening the door at dawn because someone was knocking urgently; and Jorge, telling how a girl was born against all logic in the middle of nowhere.

Now those stories are repeated, but with the tremor still beating under the feet.

An old man rescued from the ruins in Catia, a woman being treated in the middle of the street, with dust still falling from her face, a child who breathes again thanks to hands that did not ask where he came from, but where he could return.

They don’t have all the necessary resources, they don’t have rest. Cuba cannot send riches to this tragedy, but years ago it sent something more difficult to sustain: men and women capable of staying when everything collapses.

In the hills, people do not call them by name, they point to them with a mixture of faith and urgency, as if they were the last frontier between life and oblivion.

“Here come the Cubans,” they say. And in that phrase there is relief, there is hope, there is something like a miracle.

They are not gods, but on days like these, when the earth betrays and the sky does not respond, they are too much more useful.

Cuban Doctors Lead the World!

Cuba: Eye Specialists Prepare for “World Glaucoma Week”! (13.3.2026)

The day will culminate with a glaucoma investigation in Old Havana, specifically in the Convent of Belén, with the participation of patients, specialists from the institute and primary health care professionals.

At the same time, the hospital will perform minimally invasive glaucoma surgery on a demonstrative basis, aimed at resident doctors who are in training, as part of the teaching and professional updating process.

These actions reaffirm the commitment of the Cuban health system to the prevention of avoidable blindness, health education and the strengthening of the link between specialized services and the community.

Havana, March 6, 2026.- At the José Martí International Airport, 172 health professionals were received by the authorities of the sector with the recognition of their noble, humane and sensitive work in Honduras.

Cuba: Ungrateful Honduras Expels “Free” Medical Care in Service of the Racist Trump! (8.3.2026)

More than 30 million consultations and almost 900 thousand surgical interventions were carried out by doctors who return to Honduran lands since 2024 in the interest of the government of that country. This was part of a contract signed with Cuba by the then progressive executive of President Xiomara Castro who, among other benefits, installed five free eye clinics in Honduras for free care for the neediest sectors.

However, the neoliberal government of Honduras, headed by the conservative Nasry Asfura, announced in the last weeks of February the cancellation of the agreement with Cuba, which put an end to the permanence of more than a hundred doctors who provided their services in this country during the last two years.

Socialist Medicine in Cuba - Free At the Point of Use!

Cuba: Ariannis Turns Her “Cancer” Struggle into a Hope for Life! (5.2.2026)

After receiving the news of her daughter’s illness, Martínez Scull said that she wakes up every day grateful to God for giving her the strength to face her daughter’s condition, which has become her only priority.

Despite the country’s difficulties, this young woman recognized the effort made by the Cuban Health System (delivered “free” at the point of use) to meet Ariannis’ needs, from her transfer from Yumurino territory, to her entire process in the hospital.

She also stressed that although she lacks many resources, she has no words to thank the doctors for the effort they make so that her daughter receives the most effective treatment for her condition.

On a day commemorating World Cancer Day, Cuba does not give up on its intention to ensure the living conditions of its patients, despite the fact that the tightening of the U.S. blockade greatly hinders this high-priority management for the nation.

Che & Fide; - Revolutionary Giants!

Havana: Fidel Castro Explains “Why” the US Wants to Destroy Cuban Socialism! (31.1.2026)

I acquired this wonderful video from the Bronx Anti-War Telegram Channel (linked below). It is remarkable that people like this still exist in the US – but then again the bourgeois warmongers can repress the working-class all they like – but can never permanently silence – or destroy it. Just as long as the capitalists require our labour to earn their riches for them – we will always exist to blight their existence. We patiently watch and wait. Just lately, I have been reading all of Che Guevara’s excellent books preserved in Cuba and actually allowed to be published on the Audible platform. My influences are Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Ho Chi Mnh – but recently I met a man of Spanish descent and he explained to me about the rich (related) but distinct South American tradition of Socialism. Until then, I viewed this aspect (incorrectly) as merely an amorphous extension of Marxist-Leninism. Reading and studying are the keys to education and breaking-up misconceptions about things.
