Of course, the Western monastic traditions can possess similar parallels – but this should negate the history or purpose of slavish-types of religion. Conventional religion is not the answer – as invariably this developed within a primitive tribal and/or feudalistic environment. Traditionally, conventional religion was designed to maintain a certain hierarchy and status quo with no change from generation to generation. However, once the means of production have changed hands and religion has been transformed into a Revolutionary vehicle – then certain aspect of religious practice might be useful for freeing the working class from oppression!

On the same day Kim Jong Un hosted a luncheon for the party and government delegation of the PRC.

Present there were Jo Yong Won, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., WPK, Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the C.C., WPK, Choe Son Hui, minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Song Nam, department director of the C.C., WPK, and Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the C.C., WPK.

At the luncheon, Kim Jong Un proposed a toast to the eternal development of socialism in the two countries, longevity and good health of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the successful DPRK visit of the party and government delegation of the PRC led by Zhao Leji.

Kim Jong Un had pleasant chats with Zhao Leji and other members of the delegation in a harmonious and friendly atmosphere, further deepening friendship.

The luncheon proceeded in a harmonious and warm atmosphere.

The U.S., together with Japan and the ROK puppets, are ceaselessly staging military exercises under various codenames against the DPRK almost every week. Witnessing such muscle-flexing alone, one can easily understand the reason why tensions are soaring in the region like a kindled detonating fuse.

The U.S., which kicked off its madcap war drumbeats in the new year through a “joint combat firing drill” with the gangsters of the ROK puppet army on Jan. 4, has frantically staged war drills under various codenames such as “drill of neutralizing CBR weapons storage facilities”, “allied cyber training” and “joint special operation drill”.

From January 15 the U.S., together with Japan and the ROK puppets, conducted a “joint maritime drill” with the involvement of its nuclear carrier Carl Vinson for four days in the waters off Jeju Island.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the message extended warm congratulations to the Syrian president and, through him, to the government and people of Syria on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of its independence on behalf of the government and people of the DPRK.

After the independence, the Syrian people have achieved many successes in the struggle to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the country and achieve socio-economic changes, resolutely standing against the ceaseless moves of all hostile forces for aggression and intervention, the message said.

Expressing the belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger, the message extended invariable support and encouragement to the just cause of the government and people of Syria for defending the sovereignty, peace and security of the country. He said that at the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee which clarified the orientation of the struggle for 2023, the General Secretary unfolded a grand construction operation to build the second-stage district of the Hwasong area into a peculiar street of modern beauty and, on the day of ground-breaking, he broke ground first. He visited the construction site again before the completion and meticulously led the builders to carry out the finishing process, to be impeccable even in the distant future, the speaker said.

Indeed, the newly-built Rimhung Street is a fruition of Kim Jong Un’s ardent sincerity to make the whole process of creation and construction consistent with the absolute service for the people and provide the people with only the best things in the world, he said, adding that it is a monumental architecture to convey the world of the nobleness and warmth of the people-first idea to posterity.

DPRK: International Seminar on the Juche Idea for Independence! (16.4.2024)

The seminar heard speeches on such themes as “The revolutionary ideology of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un is an immortal banner safeguarding independence and justice and guaranteeing a rosy future of humankind”, “Let us build a new world of independence and justice through unity and cooperation”, “Independence, justice and future of humankind” and “African countries should struggle against neo-colonialism with the independent idea as their guideline”.

The speakers said that independence is the only way for a nation to live and for a country to prosper and this is the truth proven by history, adding that only when independence is maintained can the genuine dignity of a nation and the happy future of rising generations be guaranteed.

They unanimously affirmed that an important way for strengthening the anti-imperialist independent forces is to further rev up the atmosphere of struggle of suppressing the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the U.S. imperialists and reactionaries in the international arena by intensifying solidarity with all countries aspiring after justice under the ideas of independence, peace and friendship.
