Since its inception, the event has been plagued by a litany of failures and criticisms, revealing the dysfunctional nature of American democracy, he said. “Even within its own borders, the Summit for Democracy has faced fierce opposition, with lawmakers, experts and media outlets alike denouncing it as little more than a hollow echo chamber of empty rhetoric.”

For his part, Brother Ali Huwaidi spoke about the UNRWA centre being targeted, especially after the 7th of October, pointing out that UNRWA is currently undergoing an intense dismantling process due to the transition of its work from development to relief, in the context of removing the name refugee as a prelude to ending the refugee issue and the right of return.

Huwaidi added that the dismantling process comes in the context of demonizing UNRWA through lies and allegations published by the Zionist organization claiming the existence of permanent coordination between some UNRWA employees and the Palestinian resistance, especially Hamas, stressing that until this moment there is no proof of these allegations.

Researchers at the Centre for Media Monitoring (CfMM), an arm of the Muslim Council of Britain, examined nearly 177,000 broadcast clips and 25,515 online news articles published between 7 October and 7 November 2023. The broadcasts were from 13 channels operated by media organisations including Al Jazeera English, the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky News and right wing outlets GB News and TalkTV.

The CfMM report, Media Bias: Gaza 2023-2024, also examined news websites published by 28 media organisations including the New Statesman, Economist, Daily Mail, Sun, Mirror, Independent, Guardian, Times, BBC and iNews.

They found that broadcasters referenced Israeli perspectives almost three times as much as Palestinians (4,311 times vs 1,598), while online news outlets presented Israeli perspectives almost twice as much (2,983 times vs 1,737).

On broadcast channels, “Israel’s right to defend itself” was promoted on 1,482 occasions, while the rights of Palestinians were mentioned 278 times, a ratio of 5 to 1.

Meanwhile, the U.S. also manipulates freedom of speech in foreign countries by controlling international public opinion, in order to maintain its hegemony. The U.S. uses social media to launch psychological warfare along with military operations in other countries, and suppresses anti-war rhetoric.

It uses freedom of speech to practice double standards, creates a smokescreen and claims that other countries are spreading “false information,” while it publishes various distorted and discrediting reports based on false information to divert the attention of the international community from the misdeeds of the U.S.. On May 4, 2022, U.S. Senator Rand Paul spoke bluntly at a Senate hearing: “Do you know who the greatest propagator of disinformation in the history of the world is? The U.S. government.”

Over the past days, the delegation participated in various multilateral activities, including a general debate, a ministerial roundtable, the high-level public debate of the Security Council, and thematic side events.

CSW68, the UN’s largest annual event dedicated to gender equality and women’s empowerment, takes place from March 11 to 22, at the UN headquarters in New York, under the theme “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.”

Official support for Neo-Nazi Ukraine (even by the left in the UK) has been tantamount to the UK supporting Hitler in 1939. The US is extending NATO into Eastern Europe through the agency of fascism due to its hatred of Russia. As for Palestine, there is a clear example that non-White people can be systematically subjected to a genocide by a White people following a religiously motivated form of fascism! The Bourgeoisie has really got its act together nowadays!
