This is the grounds of St Paul’s Church, Galmpton, South Devon. We are staying just up the road for the Festive Season – as it is close to where my elderly parents live. Oddly, despite the impressive Nativivty scene – there was no Service in the Church itself (upper floor accessed by the stepd) – or in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd that shares the building (ground floor). In years gone by – we have noticed this beautiful outpouring of faith. There is Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus (Yeshua) – all Palestinian Jews. Jesus is depicted as being born in a manger (a feeding device for sheep) in Bethlehem – but is always misquoted as being from Nazareth (archaeology has proven that Nazareth was a burial place for Jews during the life-time of Jesus – so Joseph could not have originated fom there – as suggested in many Biblical commentarial texts due to the place being made “unclean” for living). It is thought that the confusion arises from the description “Yeshua the Nazarene” – “Jesus the Healer [of the world]” – which was mistranslated into English hundreds of years ago (probably the Protestant King James Bible – but there were other lesser known and unsuccessful attempts at English translations prior to this – despite the Catholic Church declaring it illegal to alter the Latin in anyway).
The mistranslation has stuck despite the contradiction it implies. Meanwhile, Zionist Israel has “banned” Christians celebrating Xmas in Nazareth and Bethlehem – with snipers tasked with shooting any celebrating Christians in the head – should they dare to venture into the street. It is incredible that the so-called Christian West remains completely “Silent” about this fascist attack on the Holy Land – the place of the birth of Jesus Christ! Instead, the Zionists are supported in the West and protected from any and all attempts at others revealing their endless crimes. How lucky we are in the UK to be able to walk down the street in peace, gaze upon a beautiful naivety scene – and not be threatened with being shot in the head by an evil group of criminals who historically attacked the original Jesus.
