


Well, it’s that time of year again in the UK. All the school children are invited to wear a festive jumper – which is a little ironic for the Sikhs, Muslims, and Hindus that live amongst us. There might also be one or two reluctant Jews thrown into the mix. After all, most of these groups have already celebrate their equivalents of Xmas. Mostly with fireworks at inappropriate times – but I digress. Guy Fawkes, of course, is considered the only man to have entered Parliament with honest intentions – and we urn him every year on a bonfire! Welcome to Britain and our weird ways! I also attach a lovely Xmas card from one of my students – and a poem written by my sister – Rachel Wyles – and published in 1986.
