Statement of obituary of the prominent communist and international leader (Dr. Ammar Bakdash)
On behalf of the Central Committee of the Palestinian Communist Party, and with hearts full of sadness and sorrow, we extend our deepest condolences to the masses of our Palestinian and Syrian people, to the Arab nation, and to the international communist movement, on the death of the militant comrade Dr. Ammar Bakdash “Abu Khaled”, Secretary-General of the Syrian Communist Party. Comrade passed away after a remarkable struggle in which he devoted his life to defending the rights of his people and oppressed peoples, and to the struggle for liberation and liberation from the dependence of the imperialist camps, Zionism and reactionary reaction.
Biography of an internationalist communist militant
The late comrade Ammar Bakdash (1954-2025) was one of the most prominent Arab communist leaders who carried the banner of the international struggle with rare firmness and sincerity. He graduated from the class struggle school since joining the Syrian Communist Party in 1969, and was raised in the arms of Marxism-Leninism, where he completed his postgraduate studies in the Soviet Union, holding a doctorate in economic sciences from Moscow State University.
In the face of oppression and persecution
With the rising tide of reaction and political persecution in Syria, Comrade Bakdash and his comrades were viciously persecuted by the forces of darkness, forcing him to take refuge in the Greek capital, Athens, where he continued his struggle under the banner of international solidarity with the Greek Communist Party. On January 29, 2025, the Syrian authorities dissolved the Syrian Communist Party and confiscated its headquarters and property, in an attempt to obliterate the revolutionary and internationalist spirit, but the banner of Marxism-Leninism will remain in the skies of beloved Syria despite the nose of haters, criminals and traitorous typographers.
At the party level:
1- Secretary of the Syrian Democratic Youth Union (1986-1992)
2- Member of the Central Committee (1990), then joined the Political Bureau (1992) and the Central Secretariat (1993).
3- He was elected Secretary-General of the Syrian Communist Party in 2010 and was re-elected three times in a row.
4- He led the party in the most difficult circumstances following the collapse of the socialist system.
5- Maintain the party’s independence and ideological stability in the face of the waves of reactionary reaction.
At the parliamentary level:
1- Represented the party in the Syrian People’s Assembly for more than two decades.
2- He was an outspoken voice in defense of the rights of workers and peasants.
At the UN level:
1- He was one of the most prominent faces of international solidarity in the Arab region.
2. Contributed to the strengthening of class alliances with sister communist parties.
3- As one of the comrades who violently confronted revisionism and opportunism and exposed it to the working class.
A strong comradeship relationship
The relationship between the Palestinian Communist Party and the Syrian Communist Party, led by the late comrade, has always been a model for international comradeship relations, as the two parties participated in many battles, including:
1- Together we led intellectual and political battles against all forms of opportunism and revisionism.
2- We formulated common positions towards the fateful issues of the Arab nation.
3- We united in the face of imperialist and Zionist projects.
Covenant and memory
The Palestinian Communist Party, in mourning this great communist and internationalist leader, affirms that:
1- Continuing the revolutionary approach to which the late comrade devoted his life.
2- Strengthening the bonds of international solidarity with the brotherly Syrian Communist Party.
3- Continue the struggle for the liberation of Palestine and build a socialist society free from exploitation.

بيان نعي القائد الشيوعي والاممي البارز (د.عمار بكداش)
باسم اللجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي الفلسطيني، وبقلوب ملؤها الحزن والأسى، نتقدم بأحر التعازي لجماهير شعبنا الفلسطيني والسوري، وللأمة العربية، وللحركة الشيوعية العالمية، في وفاة الرفيق المناضل الدكتور عمار بكداش “أبو خالد”، الأمين العام للحزب الشيوعي السوري. لقد رحل الرفيق بعد مسيرة نضالية مشهودة، كرس حياته فيها للدفاع عن حقوق شعبه والشعوب المضطهدة، وللنضال من أجل التحرر والانعتاق من تبعية المعسكرات الإمبريالية، الصهيونية والردّة الرجعية.
سيرة مناضل شيوعي أممي
الرفيق الراحل عمار بكداش (1954-2025) كان أحد أبرز القادة الشيوعيين العرب الذين حملوا راية النضال الأممي بثبات وإخلاص نادرين. تخرج من مدرسة النضال الطبقي منذ انضمامه للحزب الشيوعي السوري عام 1969، وتربى في أحضان الماركسية-اللينينية، حيث أكمل دراساته العليا في الاتحاد السوفيتي، حاملاً شهادة الدكتوراه في العلوم الاقتصادية من جامعة موسكو الحكومية.
في مواجهة القمع والاضطهاد
مع تصاعد المد الرجعي والاضطهاد السياسي في سوريا، تعرض الرفيق بكداش ورفاقه لملاحقات شرسة من قبل قوى الظلام، مما اضطره إلى اللجوء إلى العاصمة اليونانية أثينا، حيث واصل نضاله تحت راية التضامن الأممي مع الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني. وفي 29 يناير 2025، أقدمت السلطات السورية على حل الحزب الشيوعي السوري ومصادرة مقره وممتلكاته، في محاولة منها لطمس الروح الثورية والاممية لكن راية الماركسية اللينينية سوف تبقى خفاقة في سماء سوريا الحبيبة رغم أنف الحاقدين والمجرمين والمطبعين الخونة.
على الصعيد الحزبي:
1- شغل منصب سكرتير اتحاد الشباب الديمقراطي السوري (1986-1992)
2- عضو اللجنة المركزية (1990)، ثم انخرط في المكتب السياسي (1992) والأمانة المركزية (1993).
3- انتخب أميناً عاماً للحزب الشيوعي السوري عام 2010 وأعيد انتخابه ثلاث مرات متتالية.
4- قاد الحزب في أصعب الظروف التي أعقبت انهيار المنظومة الاشتراكية.
5- حافظ على استقلالية الحزب وثباته الأيديولوجي أمام موجات الردة الرجعية.
على الصعيد النيابي:
1- مثل الحزب في مجلس الشعب السوري لأكثر من عقدين.
2- كان صوتاً صادحاً بالدفاع عن حقوق العمال والفلاحين.
على الصعيد الأممي:
1- كان أحد أبرز وجوه التضامن الأممي في المنطقة العربية.
2- ساهم في تعزيز التحالفات الطبقية مع الأحزاب الشيوعية الشقيقة.
3- كا احد أكثر الرفاق الذين تصدو وبعنف للتحريفية والانتهازية وفضحها امام الطبقة العاملة.
علاقة رفاقية متينة
لطالما كانت العلاقة بين الحزب الشيوعي الفلسطيني والحزب الشيوعي السوري بقيادة الرفيق الراحل نموذجاً للعلاقات الرفاقية الأممية حيث شارك الحزبان في خوض معارك عديدة منها:
1- قادنا معاً معارك فكرية وسياسية ضد كل أشكال الانتهازية والتحريفية.
2- صاغنا مواقف مشتركة تجاه القضايا المصيرية للأمة العربية.
3- وحدنا الصفوف في مواجهة المشاريع الإمبريالية والصهيونية.
عهد وذكرى
إن الحزب الشيوعي الفلسطيني إذ ينعي هذا القائد الشيوعي والأممي الكبير، يؤكد على:
1- مواصلة النهج الثوري الذي كرس له الرفيق الراحل حياته.
2- تعزيز أواصر التضامن الأممي مع الحزب الشيوعي السوري الشقيق.
3- مواصلة النضال من أجل تحرير فلسطين وبناء مجتمع اشتراكي خالٍ من الاستغلال.
“إن رحيل الرفيق عمار بكداش يشكل خسارة فادحة للحركة الشيوعية العربية، لكن مبادئه النضالية ستظل شعلة تنير دربنا نحو التحرر والاشتراكية، والقضاء على استغلال الانسان لاخيه الانسان.”
