We left Sutton around 1130am yesterday (23.12.2023) and arrived in Paignton around 6pm – following a one-hour stop-over at Stone Henge. This time we are staying in a chalet park situated between Paignton and Brixham. There are no shops, attractions or facilities in the immediate area – but the place is remote, clean and contains all the usual mod cons for modern life. For some strange reason, the TV has the most basic type of Free View – and some odd Cable Service which provides around 20 Arabic-speaking channels! Internet costs extra – so we brought our own Huawei internet broadband router from home – which does not rely on an active telephone line to operate. Just plug-in and resume surfing the internet!
If the average reader knows anything about South Devon and the political complexion of many of its people – Arabic channels would be the last type of media that would be expected. Still, the place is near where my parents live and is not far from major shopping centres.
For the time-being – this is our family headquarters and the place we will be spending Xmas Day 2023. We are not religious (as we are Scientist-Socialists or more specifically Marxist-Leninist-Maoists) – but we do wish the whole of humanity peace, love, security, self-determination and endless prosperity! Long Live Palestine – and may ALL the Zionist War Criminals be bought to a swift Justice!
