The United Nations World Health Organization expressed concern over reports of Israel sending evacuation orders to Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza
The Director-General of the Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said in a post.
He added: “The hospital has wounded patients and health workers – in addition to hundreds of people taking shelter there. The sanctity of health-care must be respected at all times.”
He continued: “It is disturbing news that an evacuation order for Al-Quds Hospital has been received from Israel. We have stressed repeatedly that it is impossible for these overcrowded hospitals to safely evacuate patients. They must be allowed to perform their life-saving functions. They must be protected.”
On Friday, Israel issued a warning to “evacuate” Al-Quds Hospital, South of Gaza City, and empty it of patients and displaced people “in preparation for its bombing.”
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that it “received a threat from the Occupation Authorities to bomb Al-Quds Hospital.”
The Red Crescent spokesperson added that the Israeli Occupation Army demanded “the immediate evacuation of the hospital, which houses more than 400 patients and about 12,000 displaced civilians who took refuge in it as a safe place.”

قلق أممي من تحذير إسرائيل بإخلاء مستشفى القدس في غزة

وقال المدير العام للمنظمة تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس، في منشور على منصة إكس، ليل الجمعة – السبت: “منظمة الصحة العالمية تبدي القلق بشأن تقارير عن إرسال أوامر إجلاء لمستشفى القدس في غزة”.
وأضاف: “يوجد بالمستشفى جرحى ومرضى وعاملون صحيون بالإضافة إلى المئات ممن يحتمون به. يتعين احترام قدسية الرعاية الصحية في كل الأوقات”.
وتابع: “أنباء مزعجة عن أمر بالإخلاء لمستشفى القدس. شددنا مراراً وتكراراً على أنّ من المستحيل على هذه المستشفيات المكتظة إجلاء المرضى بأمان. يجب السماح لها بأداء وظائفها المنقذة للحياة. تجب حمايتها”.
وأنذرت إسرائيل، الجمعة، “بإخلاء” مستشفى القدس جنوبيّ مدينة غزة وتفريغه من المرضى والنازحين “تمهيداً لقصفه”.
وقالت جمعية الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني، في بيان، إنها “تلقت تهديداً من قبل سلطات الاحتلال بقصف مستشفى القدس”.
وأضافت أنّ جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي طالب “بالإخلاء الفوري للمستشفى الذي يضم أكثر من 400 مريض وحوالى 12 ألف نازح من المدنيين الذين لجأوا إليه باعتباره مكاناً آمناً”.
