Yesterday, Saturday, an Official representing International Relations in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Dr. Maher Al-Taher, met with the Chargé d’Affairs of the DPRK Embassy, Mr. Kim Hee-Ryong – with Comrade Lee as translator.
Al-Taher informed Ryong: “We are proud of the historical relations between the Korean Labour Party and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine,” stressing that the PFLP will work to deepen and develop these relations between the two sides. Al-Taher added, “Our primary goal of this visit is to offer our congratulations on the 78th anniversary of the founding of the great Korean Labour Party and to update the DPRK upon political developments in Palestine – and the aggressive practices of the Zionist entity.”
Al-Taher confirmed, “The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine has historical relations with the Korean Labour Party, dating back to the days of the late leader Kim Il Sung – when the founder of the Popular Front, Comrade Dr. George Habash, visited the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in 1970,” indicating that “the situation in Palestine is difficult and very dangerous.” The Occupation rejects the establishment of an independent Palestinian State and seeks to displace the Palestinian people from their land.”
The Official representing International Relations in the Popular Front pointed out that “the Palestinian people are facing a criminal Zionist government, and there are ministers in the government who say there is no such thing as the people of Palestine,” noting that “the Zionist entity wants complete control over Palestine and the demolition of Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Al-Taher explained, “We as a Palestinian people have no choice but to resist, and so our people carry out heroic guerrilla operations daily despite the imbalance of power, and they are ready to sacrifice their lives and bear martyrdom for the liberation of the homeland,” pointing out that “the Occupation builds settlements daily and has so far brought 800,000 settlers to the West Bank.” “We are a people suffering under a brutal, fascist Occupation.”
Al-Taher pointed out, “We have more than 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in the Zionist Occupation prisons, led by the Secretary-General of our Great Militant Party, Ahmed Saadat. The Zionist enemy is carrying out aggressive practices against our prisoners, but our heroic prisoners are confronting this Zionist aggression with all force – and are carrying out severe confrontations with the Zionist Prison Service,” indicating that “The Palestinian people are not alone. We have friends from Arab powers, global powers, and honourable and free people from all countries of the world!”
In the international context, Al-Taher stressed, “There are international developments and events taking place that benefit of the Palestinian people and the peoples of the world struggling for freedom and justice, as we witness global developments such as the rise to power of China and Russia, and positive transformations in Latin America that pave the way for building a multipolar world that puts an end to American control and hegemony.” Pointing out that “The Zionist aggression also targets Syria, the resistance in Lebanon, and all progressive forces in the region.”
Al-Taher asked the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy a question about his point of view on the Belt and Road Initiative and America’s talk about an alternative route that passes through the port of Haifa. The views were compatible, and one in that America considers China a major threat to its hegemony and continued control over the world. America aims to impose an economic blockade on China and seeks to expand… Zionist power in the Middle East whilst inciting a far-right India, which has strategic geographical importance in the region – causing trouble with China.
At the end of his speech, Al-Tahir wished Korea, its people and its Great Leader more progress, success and prosperity!
For his part, His Excellency the Chargé d’Affairs, Mr. Kim Hee-Ryong, thanked Al-Taher’s visit and the congratulatory message on the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of the founding of the Korean Labour Party. He also thanked him for providing him with details about the general Palestinian situation. The DPRK extends its deepest thanks to the Secretary-General of your front – Comrade fighter Ahmed Saadat.
Ryong said, “It is a firm position of the Korean Labour Party and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to support and uphold the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and to establish their Independent State with Jerusalem as its capital,” adding, “We follow with concern the Zionist measures to expand settlements and forcibly displace Palestinian families in the West Bank, and we condemn and denounce these oppressive practices.”
Ryong pointed out, “The United States of America protects these Zionist aggressive actions, and the United Nations remains silent and does not take any reaction,” pointing out that “America is famous for its biased policy toward the Zionists and is now promoting Korean-Russian cooperation as a violation of the laws of the United Nations, United States and international law.”
He stated that “strategic cooperation between our country and Russia constitutes a firm guarantee of international security and peace in the face of military operations,” explaining that “the alliance between the United States, South Korea, Japan, and NATO constitutes a serious threat to international security and peace,” stressing that Korea will always stand by the Palestinian people in his just struggle aimed at regaining all his legitimate rights.

الطاهر يلتقي القائم بأعمال سفارة كوريا الديمقراطية الشعبية

التقى مسؤول العلاقات الدولية في الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين الدكتور ماهر الطاهر، أمس السبت، بالقائم بأعمال سفارة كوريا الديمقراطية الشعبية السيد كيم هي ريونغ والرفيق لي كمترجم.
وقال الطاهر، لريونغ : “نعتز بالعلاقات التاريخية التي تربط حزب العمل الكوري والجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين، مؤكدًا العمل على تعميق وتطوير هذه العلاقات بين الجانبين.
وأضاف الطاهر، أنّ “هدفنا الأساسي من الزيارة تقديم التهنئة بالذكرى 78 لتأسيس حزب العمل الكوري العظيم ووضعكم بصورة التطورات السياسية في فلسطين، والممارسات العدوانية للكيان الصهيوني”.
وأكّد الطاهر، أنّه “تربط الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين علاقات تاريخية مع حزب العمل الكوري من أيام الزعيم الراحل كيم إيل سونغ عندما قام مؤسس الجبهة الشعبية الرفيق الدكتور جورج حبش في عام 1970 بزيارة كوريا الديمقراطية”، مبينًا أنّ “الوضع في فلسطين صعب وخطير جدًا، والاحتلال يرفض قيام دولة فلسطينية مستقلة ويسعى لتهجير الشعب الفلسطيني عن أرضه”.
ولفت مسؤول العلاقات الدولية في الجبهة الشعبية، إلى أنّ “الشعب الفلسطيني يواجه حكومة صهيونية مجرمة، وهناك وزراء في الحكومة يقولون لا يوجد شيء اسمه شعب فلسطين”، مشيرًا إلى أنّ “الكيان الصهيوني يريد السيطرة الكاملة على فلسطين وهدم المسجد الأقصى”.
وأوضّح الطاهر، أنّه “ليس أمامنا خيار كشعب فلسطيني إلا المقاومة حيث يقوم شعبنا بعمليات فدائية بطولية يوميا رغم اختلال موازين القوى ولديهم استعداد لتقديم ارواحهم والشهادة من أجل تحرير الوطن”، لافتًا إلى أنّ “الاحتلال يوميًا يبني مستوطنات وجلب إلى الآن 800 ألف مستوطن إلى الضفة المحتلة”.
وأشار الطاهر، إلى أنّه “لدينا أكثر من 5000 أسير في سجون الاحتلال، وعلى رأسهم الأمين العام لحزبنا المناضل الكبير أحمد سعدات ويقوم العدو الصهيوني بممارسات عدوانية ضد الأسرى ويتصدى أسرانا الأبطال بكل قوة، ويقومون بمواجهات شديدة مع مصلحة السجون الصهيونية”، مبينًا أنّ “الشعب الفلسطيني ليس وحده فلدينا أصدقاء من قوى عربية، وقوى عالمية، وشرفاء أحرار من جميع دول العالم”.
وفي السياق الدولي، أكّد الطاهر، أنّ “هناك تطورات وأحداث دولية تجري لصالح الشعب الفلسطيني وشعوب وأحرار العالم المناضلة من أجل الحرية والعدالة حيث نشهد تطورات عالمية كتصاعد قوة الصين وروسيا، وتحولات إيجابية في أمريكا اللاتينية تمهد لبناء عالم متعدد الأقطاب، يضع حدا للسيطرة والهيمنة الأمريكية”، مشيرًا إلى أنّ “العدوان الصهيوني يستهدف أيضًا سوريا والمقاومة في لبنان، وكل القوى التقدمية في المنطقة”.
وطرح الطاهر، على القائم بأعمال السفارة سؤال حول وجهة نظره في طريق الحزام الحرير وحديث أمريكا عن طريق بديل يمر عبر ميناء حيفا وكانت وجهات النظر متوافقة، وواحدة حيث تعتبر أمريكا الصين تهديد رئيسي لهيمنتها واستمرار سيطرتها على العالم وتهدف أمريكا إلى الحصار الاقتصادي على الصين وتسعى لتوسيع القدرة الصهيونية في الشرق الأوسط، وتحريض الهند التي تحظى بأهمية جغرافية استراتيجية في المنطقة لتقف في وجه الصين.
وفي ختام كلمته، تمنى الطاهر نتمنى لكوريا ولشعبها ولقائدها العظيم المزيد من التقدم والنجاح والازدهار.
من جهته، شكر سعادة القائم بالأعمال السيد كيم هي ريونغ زيارة الطاهر، ورسالة التهنئة بمناسبة الذكرى 78 لتأسيس حزب العمل الكوري، كما شكره على تزويده بالتفصيل عن الوضع الفلسطيني العام ونوجه شكرنا العميق إلى الأمين العام لجبهتكم الرفيق المناضل أحمد سعدات.
وقال ريونغ، إنّه “موقف ثابت لحزب العمل الكوري وجمهورية كوريا الديمقراطية الشعبية بدعم ومساندة الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني في إقامة دولته المستقلة وعاصمتها القدس “، مضيفًا أنّ “نتابع بقلق الاجراءات الصهيونية في توسيع المستوطنات وتهجير الأسر الفلسطينية بصورة قسرية في الضفة الغربية ونحن ندين ونستنكر هذه الممارسات القمعية”.
وأشار ريونغ، إلى أنّ “الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تحمي هذه التصرفات العدوانية الصهيونية، والأمم المتحدة تلتزم الصمت، ولا تقوم بأي ردة فعل”، لافتًا إلى أنّ “أمريكا مشهورة بسياستها المنحازة إلى الصهاينة وتقوم الآن بالترويج للتعاون الكوري – الروسي على أنه يشكل انتهاكا لقوانين الأمم المتحدة والقانون الدولي”.
وبين، أنّ “التعاون الاستراتيجي بين بلدنا وروسيا يشكل ضمان ثابت للأمن والسلم الدوليين في وجه العمليات العسكرية”، موضحًا أنّ “التحالف بين الولايات المتحدة وكوريا الجنوبية -اليابان وحلف الناتو يشكل تهديدًا خطيرًا للأمن والسلم الدوليين”، مؤكدًا وقوف كوريا دائمًا إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني في نضاله العادل الرامي إلى استرجاع جميع حقوقه المشروعة.
