UK: Visiting Buddhapadipa Temple on Kai-Lin’s 10th Birthday! (27.9.2026)

We travelled by car from Sutton to Wimbledon to visit what we know as the “Buddhapadia Temple” – a Thai Temple financed by the King of Thailand. This caters for the UK’s relatively small Thai population (and the Theravada School of Early Buddhism they follow) – and for other Asian and non-Asian populations that follow all types of different people. The Thais are fairly tolerant. Due to the lack of Buddhist Temples in the UK – Chinese people tend to visit this Thai Temple – as do we. Richard Hunn stayed in this temple studying meditation during the 1970s, and I think he returned their in the 1980s to make a documentary about the famous murals (I am not sure about the exact dates).

Videos circulating on Thai social media show confrontations between locals and Israelis, including one viral exchange where a restaurant worker told an Israeli tourist, “You’re not welcome here,” and she replied, “My money builds your country.”

Local officials confirmed rising concern over Israelis operating illegal businesses, including restaurants and tour agencies. A petition signed by over 200 residents was submitted to Surat Thani’s governor calling for restrictions on “Israeli activities causing distress to local communities.”

Thailand’s Immigration Bureau says Israelis now form the largest foreign group under investigation for unauthorized business operations, with more than 2,600 visa extensions filed on Koh Phangan alone.

As improbable as it may seem, a number of deficient (White) Englishmen and Scotsmen live in Thailand – and yet are notorious racists who routinely express anti-migrant rhetoric on their social media platforms. By “anti-migrant” – I mean “non-White” migrants living in the UK. The lie is that all crime is committed by non-Whites – whilst the reality is that the in a White-majority country – the majority of the crime is committed by “Whites”. The problem is that the ignorant racists are quite happy to accept the rancid myths of racism instead of carrying-out research into the reality of society (and read “Das Kapital” written by Karl Marx). The far-right racist are quite happy with White migrants who hold Neo-Nazi viewpoints, such as the Poles, Ukrainians, Estonians and Romanians, etc, Neo-Nazis who are welcomed with open-arms even though they represent entirely alien (and unfamiliar) ethnic groups and cultures. Asians get in the way of this transition (as they generate money for themselves) and are mislabelled “White Adjacent” by African-Americans! Groups like Black Lives Matter (BLM) support this thinking and are therefore “Trotskyite” and not Marxist-Leninist. The Black bourgeoisie wants to disempower the White bourgeoisie and generate a re-balancing of a capitalist society. Genuine Socialists seek to seize the means of production and re-distribute the forces of production – thus freeing ALL people equally washing away the filth of capitalism (Black people used to support this aspiration). Black people want money in a capitalist society – but so does every other group which is made to live in such a terrible society. This woman has not grown as an individual and does not want to help people in a universal manner. She placed a Thai woman in gaol for 20-days because she thought she was trying to illegally bring her mother to the US – which is her right as a US citizen.

The BBC is “banned” from China for continuously publishing unsubstantiated lies and racist misrepresentations. Like most of the British media, the BBC (like the Guardian and the Qatari-owned Al Jazeera) – continuously misrepresents the non-White and non-capitalist world! Every so often, however, the sheer weight of these contradictions of this misreporting takes its toll – and the occasional “true” story penetrates this barrier of falsehood. Below, is yet another “White” (Zionist) racially-motivated act of aggression aimed at Black people currently being used as “paid-slaves” in that part of stolen Palestine currently termed “Israel”! The BBC, like all those other hypocrites, are afraid following the International Court of Justice (ICJ) judgement declaring Zionist Israel is “Guilty” of “Plausible Genocide”!

his is how I ended-up training under Mangala Thero (in 1996) at the Ganga Ramaya Temple (in Beruwela) – situated in Sri Lanka. I have subsequently discovered that Mangala Mahathero has passed away after spending the last decade of his life living and meditating in isolation. I am told that Richard Hunn would sit ‘still’ for hours on end in various Zen Temples throughout the Kyoto area. Although outwardly he was practicing ‘Zen’ – inwardly he was practicing ‘Caodong’ Ch’an – the preferred lineage of Master Xu Yun (1840-1959). Although none of us know how long we will be on this Earth – we must remain vigilant and use our time effectively and productively! Not a single second must be wasted when it comes to self-cultivation! Instead of reading this board – look within! Richard Hunn was my academic and spiritual teacher between 1989-2006. He taught me to read and translate properly every modern and traditional Chinese language ideogram – whilst also conveying to me the teachings of the authentic Chinese Ch’an Buddhist tradition!
