According to the agreement, the two associations will establish a system for offering voluntary services in areas such as legal consultation, advocacy, resolving legal issues and disputes, and developing legal policies.

The agreement also promotes and supports the involvement of local bar associations, law firms and individual lawyers in volunteer activities for people with disabilities. This participation may involve providing legal services, engaging in advocacy efforts and offering various forms of support, the associations noted.

Their ultimate aim is to unite and mobilize a substantial number of lawyers to actively engage in this cause, they added.

A spokesperson for the office said the sensational accusation is just a “silver bullet” for the newspaper to catch readers’ eyes, saying such kinds of constant smears have deterred some businesspeople in the United States from visiting Hong Kong for the fear of being “locked up”, the spokesperson heard.

“I believe many Western media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, should take credit for their distorted Hong Kong impression,” the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said the National Security Law implemented in 2020 covers only two of the seven categories of crimes under Article 23 of the Basic Law, namely secession and subversion, and the other five crimes, such as treason and theft of State secrets, are not included.

This includes the Tory and LibDems murder of 120,000 People with Disability between 2010-2016 and beyond. Those with wealth must be scrutinized as to the origin of that wealth – and I do not care about what such parasites think about this policy! The Police and Military will become ‘Red’ – and those who have committed historical crime will be held responsible! The UK will work for International Revolution whilst withdrawing from NATO and any other Bourgeois institutions and establishments! The EU will be ‘banned’ and declared ‘illegal’. The UK will annul every treaty and understanding with the US whilst forging ‘Internationalist’ links directly with American workers. The Union Jack will be placed in the corner of the Red Flag festering a Hammer and Sickle! To hell with capitalism and reactionary leftism!

China: Communist Party Pursues “Multi-Child” Policy! (31.8.2023)

In order to boost people’s willingness to have more than one child, subsidies in the form of cash are a good measure, as the cost of giving birth to and raising a child is very high in any modern society today. The family needs a bigger house to accommodate a new member, the mother needs to spend months preparing for the delivery and the couple needs to care for and nurture a young one, all of which costs money and the individuals’ time.

The local government can shoulder some of the costs and inconvenience by promoting baby-care services or improving the conditions of kindergartens. But besides these services, some monetary support will greatly help young child-raising couples.

The subsidy for the second child and third child in Changshan can help parents cover part of the expenses such as hiring a wet nurse or buying clothes and other necessities. It might not be a huge sum but it shows the local government’s determination to encourage more childbirths.

The local government in Changshan county has rightly identified new couples, as they are the ones who are most likely to be planning families, for the subsidies. More local governments should observe the results and consider following suit.
