In this context, while the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Red Star declares its solidarity with the people of Palestine and Lebanon and condemns the evil imperialist-Zionist nexus and all its defenders, it also registers its firm opposition to the Modi government’s continued export of defence equipment to Israel as part of the anti-Islamic ideological alliance fostered between Zionism and Hindutva fascism, whose foreign policy, as a junior strategic partner of US imperialism, is in line with the latter’s dictates.

His Highness Somdek Suntan Haji Hassanan Bongei of Brunei Darussalam, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Selimxay Kormasit, visited the Laos People’s Democratic Republic (PDR) from October 2nd-4th, 2023. During their visit, they laid a wreath at the Niranam Warrior (Red Star) Monument on the morning of October 3rd in Vientiane, the capital city. The act was a tribute to the Laotian Marxist-Leninist Martyrs, remembering their sacrifices in establishing the Laotian People’s Democratic Republic on December 2nd, 1975.

From the end of December, 2022, Private Soldiers, NCOs and Commissioned Officers fighting in the Russian Armed Forces (primarily at the ‘Front’ during the ‘Special Military Operation’ in Donbass) became ‘eligible’ to receive this distinction!

This decision was taken after considering how respected and popular the ‘Soviet Order of the Red Star’ had been throughout the Red Army, and the use of its symbolism suggests a firm historical link between the past and the present with regard to Russia’s eternal fight against fascism!

Here I sit – monitoring the airways! A ‘Political Commissar’ calling the bluff of the bourgeoisie and actually making use of the ‘freedom of speech’, freedom of belief’, freedom of conscience’ and ‘freedom of expression’ they keep telling me I possess whilst living in their system! It is strange, therefore, that whilst exercising these (inalienable) ‘rights’ – there is a distinct feeling in the ether of an impending arrest!

The flag of the International Brigades represents those foreigners who volunteered to fight for the democratically elected (Socialist) government of Spain during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). The International Brigades were funded by the ‘Comintern’, or ‘Communist International’, with its headquarters in the Soviet Union, administered throughout the various international Branches of the Communist Party. Around 40,000 non-Spanish people volunteered, drawn from a broadly leftist political spectrum. As the fascist General Franco (supported as he was by the Catholic Church, Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy) neared victory in 1938, the International Brigades were withdrawn from Spain, with the Republic being finally defeated a year later.
