Ian MacDonald: Revolution in the Head – Extracts Featuring Marx & Mao! (18.4.2023)

Imperial Japan initiated military violence against the people of China between 1931-1945. This was a fascist expansion that spread throughout Asia and even threatened the US! I am told that around 60 million men, women and children were killed and wounded during these terrible years throughout China – a number that includes Europeans. A fact often ignored is the part that Yoko Ono’s family played in this era. Her family were ardent ultra-nationalists who supported this racist war. Yoko Ono defied the ‘racist’ attitudes of her family by entering into a relationship with a ‘White’ foreigner. Indeed, when touring Japan during 1966 (and before meeting Yoko Oni) – The Beatles would encounter this evil face of Japanese racism when they played the Budokan! Ultra-Nationalists in Japan threatened the life of The Beatles if they played in a sacred arena – as their ‘Whiteness’ threatened to spiritually ‘pollute’ the arena usually reserved for the devout practice of Japanese martial arts! Yoko Ono may have defied her parent’s anti-Western racism – but she definitely retained their attitudes pertaining to anti-China racism! All the evidence points to Yoko Ono attempting to ‘cure’ John Lennon of his infatuation with ‘Maoism’ (and of course, ‘May Pang’)!

The Beatles: What John Lennon Never Quite Managed to ‘Imagine’! (17.4.2023)

The difference is that whereas Marx and Engels stood by the message inherent within their Revolutionary work – The Beatles steadfastly ‘stood apart’ from the Revolutionary message that is at the heart of their music! The capitalist system brought them off – but that is the nature of the music business and the entire point of all its machinations! The music industry generates very good capitalists but generally very poor Revolutionaries! It is as if the music itself, that is the collaborative effort, transcended the individuality of the four men who comprised The Beatles – and the general (limiting) attitudes of EMI! The interesting point is that The Beatles music remains dialectically forceful despite Paul McCartney’s Knighthood and all the other nonsense the Bourgeois State has draped around the historical image of The Beatles! Whether The Beatles like it or not, the music they produced in search of profit possesses a quality that ‘pierces’ through the very same ‘search for profit’! The music is itself a form of Revolutionary ‘force’ that John Lennon never quite managed to comprehend. Imagine that!

Laos Buddhist-Socialist Republic: Ta Bin Hydroelectricity Company – Pak Bang -Donates Vital Supplies to Local Villages! (11.4.2023)

The company realized that a number of people in Champa Village are still very poor – and motivated by Buddhist-Socialist morality – they mobilized all the company’s employees to contribute both materials and resources!

This included clothes, shoes, soccer balls, baskets of food and learning materials such as pens and writing books, etc. On the occasion of the handing over the donations to the village Administration – the person in charge of the company pointed out that the outbreak of the Covid-19 disease has created difficulties for the lives of ordinary people. Seeing this difficulty, the company, which has been investing in Laos for more than 10 years, wanted to contribute to the socio-economic (Socialist) development of Laos society!

Yellow Submarine: How the Beatles Invented Pyrhonesque Cartoons! (9.4,2023)

As for its surface structure – I think that with the ‘Yellow Submarine’ we are seeing the essence of how the Monty Python team presented their ideas to the world! As Monty Python sketches are available all over the internet and streaming services – most people are better acquainted with this form of communication than they are with that seen in the ‘Yellow Submarine’! This tends to give the inverted notion that the Monty Python methodology came before the ‘Yellow Submarine’ – but we all know that this is not true! Just a quick perusal will demonstrate to the average viewer that Terry Gillian must have been inspired and motivated by The Beatles output and philosophical intent (which seems ‘Anarchic’ at this point and definitely ‘Existential’). The working-class norms that all four Beatles were brought up within are there – but so is the ‘freedom’ from this conditioning – and that’s all the ‘Yellow Submarine’ represents! The problem was the difficulty of psychologically conveying this ‘freedom’ whilst still being physically ‘stuck’ in exactly the material conditions assumed to have been thrown-off due to some type of superior insight! This is the ‘idealism’ of The Beatles! It was their millions of pounds which gave them an enhanced sense of ‘choice’ whilst living within a capitalist society. Immense wealth and success constituted the foundry within which the superstructure of the ‘Yellow Submarine’ was hammered out – whilst the imbibing of LSD was the bottle of Champaign (or non-descript ‘infrastructure’) that was smashed against its side – and which launched it into the stream of human consciousness! Do with it as you will.

Neo-Nazi Ukraine: Obutu Dabaga from Khartoum, Sudan! (31.3.2023)

Obutu Dabagh from Khartoum, Sudan (North-East Africa). In March last year (2022), Obutu Dabagh had the opportunity to earn some extra money in Neo-Nazi Ukraine! This is the product of the US-inspired poverty maintained around the world and it is understandable that certain (desparate) individuals choose bizarre avenues to make money and reduce their difficulties (at least for a short time). This has to be the case, as no ‘Black’ person in their right mind would ‘volunteer’ for the cause of ‘White Surpremacy’!

China: US Primary Cause of Global Refugee Crisis – Reports Confirm! (31.3.2023)

The spokesperson pointed out that the U.S. is known to be a nation of immigrants, adding that none of the country’s political, economic, social, cultural and technological advances would have been possible without the enormous contribution of immigrants.

“However, throughout the country’s history, many immigrant communities were treated cruelly by the U.S. government. Recent years have even witnessed humanitarian disasters on refugees and immigrants in the US,”Mao said.

“The U.S. needs to seriously reflect on its terrible record on the issue of refugees and immigrants and correct its course, and make real efforts to improve the situations of refugees and immigrants,” she added.

Mao said the U.S. should stop all hegemonic and bullying practices and avoid creating new refugee crises in the world.
