Email: Dark Knight of the Templars (24.9.2020)

No one resisted and the general atmosphere was one of ‘stunned’ bemusement. This is when the torturing began. Although there is no objective evidence that any of the allegations are ‘true’ (including the nonsense of worshipping Mary Magdalene), when Pope Clement V finally returned, he was provided with thousands of coerced confessions and literally ’threatened’ into agreeing with King Philip’s actions and decisions. As a consequence, the Pope dissolved the Templars in 1312 – but by this time thousands had been tortured or starved to death in French prisons, or publicly executed. Grand Master Jacques de Molay was burned at the stake in 1314 for daring to ‘retract’ his confession and stating that the Order was ‘pure’. He added that the devil moved within the Catholic Church and was ruling France!

The Ruins of Penhallam Manor – Northeast Cornwall – 30.7.15

Although only the foundations exist dating to 13th century renovations, (the home was eventually abandoned in the early 15th century), they reveal expert stone-masonry, architectural design, and building craftsmanship, as well as over-all expertise in positioning of the stricture and the good use of natural terrain, (the local river, for instance, was diverted to form the water in the encircling moat). The area of Penhallam was awarded to the de Cardinham family from France, and Penhallam Manor apparently served as one of their stately homes – such was the family’s importance in the new Norman social order in Britain. English Heritage maintain the site – which is free to enter for the general public. The ruins lie in a forest clearing that is about a 15 minute walk from the small car park (which is designed for 5 cars). It is a beautiful place to visit.

Church of Ireland – 60 Years of Child Abuse – Thousands of Children Institutionally Beaten, Sexually Assaulted, and Mistreated

The Report also revealed that the Irish Catholic Church had a nonchalant attitude toward the sexual abuse of children under their care – considering this abhorrent behaviour to be both ‘normal’ and ‘endemic’. Abusers, if they were ever questioned about their illegal behaviour, were dealt with through a secret form – a procedure that did nothing to fundamentally address the issue or prevent further abuse. Victims that grew up in Church institutions, later disclosed their experiences, but many high-ranking Church officials were of the opinion that their claims were exaggerated and not real. Church officials thought that the most important thing (for the Church) was to prevent the scandal, rather than help the victims of the child sexual abuse, who had suffered untold mental and physical injuries.
