“I was shocked when I got an email saying I have to leave,” Dutta told the Observer. “I have been employed at different universities in the UK and I’ve lived here for 12 years. A large part of my adult life has been lived in the UK since I came to the University of Oxford to do my master’s. I never thought something like this would happen to me.”

Dutta first came to the UK in September 2012 on a student visa and later obtained a spouse visa as a dependant of her husband, who obtained a visa on a “global talent” route. According to her lawyer, Naga Kandiah, at MTC Solicitors: “These research trips were not optional but essential to fulfilling her academic and institutional obligations. Had she not undertaken these trips, she would not have been able to complete her thesis, meet the academic requirements of her institutions or maintain her visa status.”

“I have lost my work, been ostracised by colleagues and had no settlement from the university, no apology, no admission that the judgment has any effect on anyone else – although of course it does,” she said.

She added: “Universities tend to always ask for NDAs in these employment cases, but I will be resisting that because I do not see why a settlement should be dependent on my silence.” The Observer revealed last year that two-thirds of core tutorial teaching at Oxford is done by academics on what the University and College Union calls “Deliveroo-style” hourly-paid roles or precarious fixed-term contracts.

Jolly said she initially thought that the “sham contracts” she and Abrams had were unusual. “But we talked to young academics and realised no one could get a mortgage and people were stuck in this totally insecure situation for years.” It was an “open secret” the two women decided they had an obligation to expose.

After their court victory, Law for Change, the charitable litigation fund which supported the pair, said the case would secure better contract rights for lecturers at Oxford, but also help others working on “exploitative contracts” right across academia.

A Russian Court sentenced British mercenary – James Scott Reece Anderson – captured in the Kursk region fighting for Neo-Nazi Ukraine, to 19 years in prison — according to the Investigative Committee.

Anderson will spend the first 5 years in an ordinary Prison – the rest of his sentence (14 years) – in a Maximum Security Penal Colony. Anderson will be sharing a cell with hardened (Russian) criminals.

Oxford University has created numerous progressives, Socialists and Communists – and also a number of great fascists, bigots, racists, and other degenerates. As regards the British Unions, they are nothing but Trotskyite entities riddled with White racism, corruption, and betrayal of the working-class. The reality is that the Buddhist people of Myanmar (Burma) want closer ties with Socialist China – not the West (Aung San Suu Kyi initiated a BRICS alignment in 2018). Aung San Suu Kyi, once she gained government posts, attempted to deliver this “democratic” requirement – but the West attempted to stop this by using millions of Islamo-fascist migrants from Bangladesh to invade Myanmar and carry-out terrorist-attacks against the indigenous (Buddhist) population (raping women and girls). Burmese people defending themselves is NOT “ethnic-cleansing”. The US always attempts to destroy genuine (Asian) Buddhism as its monks are anti-capitalist and usually support Socialist Revolution. Islam, as a Abrahamic religion, and opens the door for Christianity and a full-scale adoption of predatory capitalism.

When they arrived, nobody wanted to help. They had to walk the streets for two-days in the Oxford area until a Police Constable directed them to a local school. Here, they were given food and a bed on the floor of a school hall. Eventually, a local family let them live in a small cottage – where they slowly developed a new life. My grandfather joined the Royal Navy Patrol Service (RNPS) and fought in the North Atlantic fighting in-part alongside the USSR. My grand-uncle joined the Coldstream Guards and guard Buckingham Palace for a time. At the beginning, local Oxford people did not like the Cockney accents of my family – but they soon got use to it. My family eventually got jobs in the local area, joined Unions, and integrated into the local community. This is why I was born in Oxford. I am the product of displacement due to war – albeit within my own country. Today, the bourgeoisie loves to make international “war” as a business option that generates billions of dollars each year.

As to “why” Oxford Council resorted to this tactic is a matter of conjecture considering how overgrown the bank and stone is – and how difficult it is to actually locate the stone (there is virtually no signage). Perhaps a flat stone was becoming easily obscured by dirt, leaves and over debris – and an upright position rendered it better protected. John Milton (1608-1674) was a literary genius and esteemed poet who lived across the road from this stone and was a supporter of Parliament (and Oliver Cromwell) during the English Republic (1649-1660). His thinking was both progressive and Revolutionary! He (and his wife) were wealthy landowners in the area of the stone – owning property either side of St Nicholas Church in Forest Hill.
