I am not sure if this type of music exists outside my homeland. Many skinheads – oddly – turned on the West Indian culture that gave them their music. Of course, not all skinheads are racist – but many are. The look, bovver boots, turned–up jeans, t-shirt, braces, and a shaved-head – has been used to intimidate non-racists, leftists, and migrants. I am a “skinhead” in a way – but that is because I am a Buddhist! My parents by-passed skinhead culture and diverted down the “hippie” route – and is the reason why I was born during the “Summer of Love” (1967). No all skinheads are racist – as this track attests to. Anyway, I think “Dirty Revolution” are from Wales and were active between 2007-2014. The lyrics are a thing of simplistic beauty!
