The problem is so bad that even gay groups side with the opinions of bourgeois reaction and attack the progressive record of the USSR. This is why I do not support “bourgeois” gay rights groups per se (although I do support gay people in general). This is because bourgeois gay people are class enemies who support predatory capitalism. On the other hand, I do support Revolutionary workers who might choose to identify as Socialists or Communists first and foremost – and who are also distinctive in their other self-perceptions (a small number of the original Bolsheviks are said to have been gay – with this being known to Lenin). The point is that fighting for bourgeois acceptance is not good enough – as it leaves all the injustices of capitalism in place. It is through the overthrow of capitalism that all other Revolutionary change will come. Just being bourgeois and gay is not good enough!

At the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery of St Petersburg (Leningrad), the President laid a wreath at the Motherland monument to honour the memory of the fallen Leningrad residents and defenders.

At least 420,000 civilians of Leningrad who died from starvation, cold, and disease, or in air-raids, as well as 70,000 soldiers are buried in the cemetery’s 186 communal graves and 6,000 individual military graves.

The memorial wall behind the Motherland monument carries the words by poet Olga Bergholz: “No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten.”

The AFU losses were up to 790 troops, five armoured fighting vehicles, including one U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carrier, and 33 motor vehicles. Three 155-mm French-made Caesar and three Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery systems have been eliminated.

▫️The units of the Dnepr Group of Forces have engaged units of three mechanised brigades, one infantry brigade, one marine brigade, and three territorial defence brigades. The AFU losses were up to 380 troops, 40 motor vehicles, and seven field artillery guns. Two electronic and counter-battery warfare stations and eight field ammunition depots have been eliminated.

He also said in a China Media Group report that the troops will, with strong determination, firm will and strong capabilities, resolutely strike against the rampant “Taiwan independence” forces, firmly crush all separatist schemes, and staunchly defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to the report, upon receiving orders, missile units from a Rocket Force brigade immediately moved from concealed standby areas to their designated positions. Dozens of launch units subsequently initiated simulated fire strikes.

Li Dawei, a soldier from the brigade, said, “We maintain a high state of alert at all times, … resolutely carrying out various tasks, and decisively thwarting any form of ‘Taiwan independence’ attempt.”

Zhong Houtao, a Taiwan affairs expert at the University of International Relations, said that the military exercises are a clear warning to Lai and “Taiwan independence” separatist forces.

There were two Victory Days in the Soviet Union: May 9th – Victory Day Over Nazi Germany and September 3rd – Victory Day Over Imperial Japan. And there were two victory medals – on one the profile of Joseph Stalin was facing West, on the other – to the East.

Contrary to the claims of Japanese (US-inspired) propaganda, the USSR in 1945 merely “attacked Japan” – but the reality is that the Red Army liberated the territories of China and Korea Occupied by the Japanese Army, as well as taking South Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands that had previously belonged to the Russian Empire. A Soviet, like a Russian, soldier never set foot on the territory of Japan proper. Therefore, the war of the Soviet Union on the side of the Allied Powers against Militaristic Japan, which unleashed the bloody Second World War together with Nazi Germany – was certainly fair.
