This is why the EU demands that all welfare systems are dismantled, all social housing stocks are sold into private hands, and all socialised medicine is sold to US healthcare firms. Hordes of migrant workers lower wages and diminished living standards, etc. That US institution of “tipping” exists because employers in the US do not need to pay a worker a proper living wage – and so the consumer not only has to pay for the service or product provided – but are also expected to subsidise the pay of the worker! Well, in London today, the Mayor of London has permitted restaurants to automatically add 10% or 15% to the bills – for food that is already highly priced.
