South Devon: Visiting Torquay Museum! (31.8.2018)

We often see various statues of Darwin in the museums in London, but we also enjoy visiting Down House in Kent – his former home. Considering how much research and data we have access to in London, Torquay Museum contains objects that really impressed us, and which were presented in a highly beneficial (and educational) manner, particularly for the children. The museum now has purpose-built learning and play areas for younger explorers, whilst the adult visitors can learn from the historical narratives tactfully covering exploration, imperialism and looting. It is a tricky business presenting this type of information, but we can state that the staff of Torquay Museum have created a very progressive atmosphere that favours ongoing learning over dogmatic versions of history.

The Ch’an Lineage and the Resurgence of Traditional Chinese Culture – Shi Ben Xing (释本性)

I would like to add that the ‘Fa Yan’ lineage of the Ch’an School is particularly well-placed to assist the revival, preservation and transmission of traditional Chinese culture within a thoroughly ‘modern’ setting. The ‘Fa Yan’ tradition is ancient and has survived for hundreds of years as a distinct and intact transmission of Ch’an Buddhism. The ‘Fa Yan’ lineage of Longyan can be very useful and serve China faithfully in this task.

Black Jesus – White Jesus – No Jesus

Occupying someone else’s land does not mean that history is automatically re-written. I suspect that as Jesus apparently spoke Syriac-Aramaic, his physical appearance would appear anywhere within a general and broad phenotype typical for the area during the time he lived. What we can say with certainty is that Jesus was not a Semite as imagined by (racist) modern Zionist Jews, and British academics who should know better.
