The Best Beatles Drummer!

The Beatles: Original Drummer – Mr Pete Best – Announces Retirement! (9.4.2025)

Of course, Ringo Starr was temporarily replaced (when ill) whilst The Beatles were on tour – so obviously he wasn’t irreplaceable. Perhaps it just goes to show the greed and desperation that drives predatory capitalism. Still, once CD – and then streaming – developed, Pete Best’s substantial (foundational) contribution was finally recognised via a huge (and well-deserved) pay-out from The Beatles millions – or should I say billions! You can now listen to Pete Best’s drumming as part of The Beatles’ legitimate historical development. Pete Best demonstrated remarkable character having to live through the unbelievable success of the group he helped form – having to watch from the side-line – as the world went made! Still, Pete Best eventually received his financial reward when The Beatles Anthology was released 1995.

How The Beatles Changed Everything – Except Capitalism! (2.5.2023)

Lennon followed Ono to New York, and this decision cost him his life. Not only this, but it cost him his credibility by becoming mixed-up with the Bourgeois libertines of that scene! One such character that Ono introduced him to was ‘David Peel’ – a former member of the US Army – who after his Honourable Discharge masqueraded as a street artist and countercultural guru! He can be seen ‘duetting’ with GG Allin as he sings a song advocating the sexual abuse of young children – a performance YouTube is quite happy to host – whilst it blocks any serious attempts to present genuine history, Israeli War Crimes and left-wing political rhetoric, etc. David Peel is interviewed calling for John Lennon to be President – whilst simultaneously agitating for the destruction of Disco music (?) an important component of Black cultural identity in the 1970s!

Blu-Ray: The Beatles “Get Back” (Peter Jackson)! (30.4.2023)

Like many wealthy people – The Beatles were drawn to the US. Yoko Ono lived there as a defeated Japan has become a post-1945 colony of the US. She attracted John Lennon to this country – and it would eventually cost him his life (during 1980) – but America took the life of another ‘Beatles’ associated individual – namely that of ‘Mal Evans’! Whilst living in LA during 1976 – Mal Evans was involved in a domestic dispute. His partner telephoned the Police and when Officers arrived – Mal Evans answered the door holding an air gun. When he failed to put down the gun – the insane individuals who represented the ‘Police’ on that day took the decision to shoot him dead! His ashes were subsequently ‘lost’ in transport back to the UK!

The Beatles: What John Lennon Never Quite Managed to ‘Imagine’! (17.4.2023)

The difference is that whereas Marx and Engels stood by the message inherent within their Revolutionary work – The Beatles steadfastly ‘stood apart’ from the Revolutionary message that is at the heart of their music! The capitalist system brought them off – but that is the nature of the music business and the entire point of all its machinations! The music industry generates very good capitalists but generally very poor Revolutionaries! It is as if the music itself, that is the collaborative effort, transcended the individuality of the four men who comprised The Beatles – and the general (limiting) attitudes of EMI! The interesting point is that The Beatles music remains dialectically forceful despite Paul McCartney’s Knighthood and all the other nonsense the Bourgeois State has draped around the historical image of The Beatles! Whether The Beatles like it or not, the music they produced in search of profit possesses a quality that ‘pierces’ through the very same ‘search for profit’! The music is itself a form of Revolutionary ‘force’ that John Lennon never quite managed to comprehend. Imagine that!

The Taxman (1966) – How the Beatles Got it Wrong! (9.11.2023)

Yes – very rich people did pay a substantial amount of their ample incomes as a contribution in this re-distribution of wealth – but the working-class paid much more tax collectively than the middle or upper classes (even though the rate of tax each individual paid was less due to their lower incomes). It is a shame that the four Beatles took the money the British public gave them in reward for their (extraordinary) musical talents – and then ‘refused’ to contribute what amounted to a relatively ‘small’ over-all contribution of their incomes toward the general health of the nation! Later, when John Lennon walked around wearing a ‘Mao Zedong’ badge – perhaps one or two of the Beatles regretted making this track – particularly as the sentiment expressed is inherently ‘right-wing’ and would eventually feed into the fascistic ideology of Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair and a host of other faceless Tory and Lib-Dems leaders! Since 1979, the Beatles may have been pleased to see the start of the privatisation of the NHS, the selling-off of Council Houses, the closing of hospitals and the dismantling of the Welfare System! Perhaps they were ecstatic when Thatcher abolished ‘free’ University education for the British youth – immediately plunging hundreds of thousands into a lifetime of abject poverty! By applying such right-wing ideology, the Tories and Lib-Dems (according to a UN investigation) murdered over 120,000 people with disabilities between 2010-2016! They achieved this by cutting taxes for the rich and services for the poor – a simple correlation that further enriches the already wealthy whilst simultaneously reducing the life-expectancy of the poor!
