16th (Wax) Wedding Anniversary 2009-2025!

UK: Adrian & Gee 16th Wedding Anniversary! (9.4.2025)

That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand’ring bark,
8Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
12But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
 If this be error, and upon me proved,

Red Flag Over Berlin!

Victory in Europe Day! May 8th-May 9th – UK, US & Soviet Armies Meet in Berlin! (8.5.2024)

Salute to Sophie Scholl and her Comrades – who were brutally guillotined by Hitler! Salute to the 800,000 men and women murdered by Adolf Hitler’s regime within Germany (1933-1945)! Salute to the Viet Minh – which fought and died throughout Indochina – fighting the Imperial Japanese – only to be betrayed by Winston Churchill in 1945! By the time this portrayal played itself out in 1975 – 6 million Vietnamese men, women and children would lie deeds or wounded following their successful battles with the Imperialist French and US! Salute to the Korean people who fought Imperial Japan – and US aggression in Korea (1950-1953)! Salute to Chinese People’s Volunteer Army that displayed its true “Internationalist” Spirit in Korea! The Juggernaut of Nazi German, Imperial Japanese, and US fascism was stopped in Asia!

Lay Mum's Stair-Carpet 2023!

Paignton: Laying the Stair-Carpet! (27.12.2023)

I say ‘properly’ – but what I mean is doing the job ‘to the best of our ability’ – which is far from professional (but then none of us are carpet-layers or decorators)! The entire job took about three-hours and we did a good job all things considered. Gee interspersed sessions of hammering nails with myself – whilst Paul kept the carpet ‘straight’ and unrolling properly! Manual labour is the essence of social, cultural and political development! None of us are beneath manual labour!

NHS: King’s College (London) – Gee’s Florence Nightingale Badge! (29.10.2021)

Gee gained entry to, trained within, and then successfully qualified as a King’s College ‘Midwife’. Gee was awarded a magnificent medal for that achievement! She then applied to King’s College Hospital for a position as ‘Midwife’ and was successful in that endeavour! This is something of an extraordinary ‘double’ achievement as the standards are extremely high in both establishments! This is the badge Midwives are awarded to wear on their work-uniforms as a mark of respect – in recognition that they have gained this honour!
