This year, Zhang is embracing motherhood while teaching. “I’ve learned that equal respect and patient companionship matter as much as boundless love,” she said. For the upcoming party, her students will attend as audience members. “They may not follow the program,” Zhang said. “But their smiles when hearing music or reaching for balloons mean a lot.”

Zhang’s legacy resonates with youths like Lin Qiuyue, 12 years her junior. “She’s been our warm guardian since I can remember, and she truly understands us,” Lin said. When Zhang returned as a teacher, their bond deepened. Inspired by Zhang, Lin now envisions her own future at the institution.

“I want to pay forward that empathy, just like her,” Lin said.

The German soldier was aiming at my grandfather – before his friend ran in front of him – as part of the advance. My grandfather fought against fascism – but today the UK is over-run with home-grown fascists, Neo-Nazis, and White Supremacists – as the government tells us to support Neo-Nazi Ukraine and Zionist Israel. Out of respect for the memory of my brave grandfather – I refuse to do neither. This is how I choose to use the freedom my grandfather earned for me on D-Day!

Recently, he declared the accused rapist and narcissist – Russell Brand – as being a genuine Buddhist and reborn lama! Obviously, everything you have been told through the Western media about Tibet is a lie. Neo-Nazism and the Pro-Tibetan Movement must both be exposed and uprooted from genuine society. Although there are some good aspects to Tibetan Buddhism – its embracing of the political far-right sullies its traditions. Only Tibetan Buddhism practiced in China is authentic. All the fake lineages outside of Tibet are run by the CIA, are racist, and distort the Dharma. Do not listen to their cult-like teachings and never donate any money. The next Dalai Lama will be born in China and will be loyal to the Chinese Communist Party (CPC). Buddhism is Socialist, is anti-capitalist, and fully supportive of Communist ideology.

As combat can be fluid and all kinds of emergencies can occur – Glider Troops would also train to assault the area from the periphery – and Infantry would defend the area from the centre. The reality on the ground might involve any contingency being used with flexibility being the key. I am told that this might explain how my grandfather came to possess an Airborne badge. When we were first researching this subject, die to the presence of this badge, we first thought Alfred Wyles had landed at Caen in a wooden Glider (this was in fact “D Company” of the 2nd Battalion [Professional] Ox & Bucks – but were later informed that in all likelihood (there is till a niggling doubt) my grandfather landed on Sword Beach as part of the supporting-infantry. Whatever the case, his official War Record is vague on this point.

The National Indian Health Board said in a letter to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. last month that tribal communities had lost more than 6 million U.S. dollars in grants from HHS agencies.

The cuts may affect community health workers, vaccination programmes and data modernization efforts, said Janet Alkire, chairperson of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe on the South Dakota and North Dakota border.

“We have not been consulted with meaningfully on any of these actions,” said Liz Malerba of the United South and Eastern Tribes Sovereignty Protection Fund, as tribal leaders argued the cuts violate federal treaty obligations.

Native Americans suffer higher rates of chronic illness and shorter life expectancy than the general population, said the report.

Many American Civil War historical narratives give the (false) impression that the Confederacy lost at Gettysburg in 1863 – staggered on with a futile resistance for two-more years – and then surrendered at Appomattox. Nothing could be further from the truth. Tens of thousands of men bravely fought, died and were wounded on both sides between 1863-1865 – with the Confederacy winning a number of notable victories after Gettysburg. Private Daniel Kelly quoted above, fought in the Confederate Army in the Western Theatre of the Confederacy – as opposed to the far more famous Eastern Theatre (where Gettysburg was situated). Furthermore, Black, Chinese and Native American men fought in the Confederate Army – but their presence is more or less “erased” from history because such a presence tends to lead to inconvenient and even embarrassing questions.
