The day of seizing power on August 23, 1975 is of great significance to the entire Lao people, because such a victory is the fruit of the protracted Revolutionary struggle of the Lao people and the tribes under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party; It is the result of the ingenious courage of the use of the 3-step strategy to seize and hold power in the whole country without being overwhelmed, the victory of the correct Revolutionary line and the wise leadership of the Party, which knows how to creatively incorporate Marxism-Leninism into the actual behavior of the Revolution; It is the victory of the strength of unity, the unity of the whole nation, the unity of the army and the tribal people, the victory of the solidarity of the fighting alliance between the Lao people, the Vietnamese people and the Cambodian people who have stood shoulder to shoulder against the same enemy throughout the previous National Liberation Revolution, that is, in the mission of preserving and building the present nation.

In her remarks, Ms. Naly Sisoulith praised the Lao Women’s Union for its active role in empowering women, promoting gender equality, and supporting the Party and government’s socio-economic development efforts.

She also paid tribute to past and present members of the LWU for their dedication to advancing the rights and well-being of women across the country.

Established in 1955, the Lao Women’s Union has grown into a vital mass organization with branches nationwide, playing a central role in mobilizing women to participate in political, economic, and cultural activities.

The first female clerks, responsible for typewriting invoices and the telephone exchange, were employed in 1885. The new hires may have been surprised to find the company brochure had a dedicated ladies’ section called ‘Matters Feminine’. However, the suffragettes would not have been too impressed with its content. Topics mainly included cooking, family and fashion.

‘It is all very well for a man to smile at the feminine love of clothes, and dismiss them as being of very little importance in life. Women know better. Husbands, who profess not to admire fashions, are not slow to complain at the dowdy appearance of their wives,’ read one passage.

In the following decades, many of the women employed found promotions were very much possible. Anne Edwards, who got a job as a clerical assistant in 1957, wrote: “Brilliant employers, they paid for me to attend Pitman’s College to extend my shorthand skills. They monitored my progress, my typewriting skills and promoted me from junior to manager’s secretary in the same department. I loved working there.”

For instance, by cross-referencing the below May 1955 Dharma-Talk with the text of ‘Empty Cloud’ for that year – a more all-round picture can be built of exactly what was happening and how Master Xu Yun was reacting to it. To be clear, Master Xu Yun was adamant that an ordained Buddhist monastic must follow ALL the rules of the Vinaya Discipline and that a lay-person must follow a least five, eight or ten of the basic vows contained in the Vinaya Discipline. This is a practical distinction Master Xu Yun upheld – as he rejected the Japanese Zen tradition of monks being allowed to eat meat, drink alcohol and get married. Such individuals are ‘lay-people’ and NOT monks. This being the case, what is Master Xu Yun referring to when he states that there is ‘no difference’ between the ordained Sangha and the laity?

The discriminative acts against the nonwhite people occurring every day in the U.S. clearly demonstrate to the world that the U.S. society is the breeding ground of human rights obliteration and barren land of human rights.

Martin Luther King who was the leader of black people in the U.S. once said that they wish the racial discrimination will soon be terminated forever in the U.S. society and this country will awaken sometime and truly realize his admonition that it is a self-evident truth that all people are equal. Half a century has passed since then, but his desire still remains as a desire.

All the facts prove that racial discrimination is an inevitable consequence of anti-popular social system of the U.S. and in the U.S. – the “exemplary human rights state” short before explosion – genuine human rights can never be ensured.

The Real Purpose of ‘ITV’ (Channel 3)! (15.2.2023)

The primary goal of ITV was to dumb-down British television and introduce the British public to US TV programmes – whilst simultaneously conveying US anti-intellectualism and incorrect post-1945 revisionist history! Joseph Stalin became a mass murderer whilst Adolf Hitler, slowly but surely took on the persona of an ‘honest’ man striving to save Europe from the horrors of Communism! Even when I write what I know is a ridiculous fantasy and fabrication, I also know that there are people out there who will relate fully to these words and not understand anything about what I have written above – proving that the US policy of brainwashing has worked! The Americans even have a ‘Monument to the Victims of Communism’ in a park in Washington – which sees busloads of school children driven in everyday who are falsely taught that the Soviet Union carried out the Holocaust! Zionist Israel assists this process by actively ‘removing’ all mention of the Soviet Red Army fighting its way into Nazi German Concentration Camps and freely thousands of Jews! ITV (Channel 3) is full of trash and garbage TV programming designed by the US powers at be to keep the British working-class ‘stupid’ and unable to realise the true nature of the horrific situation it really exists within – and the debt we owe as a nation (and a class) to the sacrifice of a Soviet Union – led by the ‘elected’ Joseph Stalin as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the USSR!
